  1. 1. Fault diagnosis of a variable pole-phase motor

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Claes Henriksson; [2023]
    Keywords : Multiphase machine; variable pole-phase machine; fault diagnosis; switch fault; phase fault; harmonic plane decomposition; wound independently controlled stator coil machine; Multifasmaskin; variabel polfasmaskin; feldiagnosticering; brytarfel; fasfel; harmonic plane decomposition; WICSC-maskin;

    Abstract : Wound Independently Controlled Stator Coil (WICSC) machines are a novel type of multiphase machine with the ability to change its pole-phase configuration during operation. This enables improved post-fault control and thus prolonged continuous operation. READ MORE

  2. 2. Visualization of Test Failure Data to Support Fault Localisation in Distributed Embedded Systems within the Automotive Industry

    University essay from Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för data- och informationsteknik

    Author : Michael Jones; Rafael Da Silva Martins; [2017-06-22]
    Keywords : Fault localisation; distributed embedded systems; automotive systems; fault prediction support; continuous integration; integration testing; failure data visualisation;

    Abstract : In this thesis we present the design, development and evaluation of a software tool with the purpose of assisting in the localisation of root causes of test case failures in distributed embedded systems, specifically vehicle systems controlled by a network of electronic control units (ECUs). Fault localisation is especially hard in such systems due to its distributed nature, and often organisations rely on the knowledge of in-house specialists for detecting and rectifying the underlying root cause of test case failures. 3. 3. Architecture for Diagnostic Platform

    University essay from Institutionen för informationsteknologi

    Author : Sara Hedfors; [2010]
    Keywords : diagnostic platform; diagnostic system; architecture; embedded system; control system;

    Abstract : In order to maximize operating time of an industrial machine and minimize stand-by time, service time and operating costs, a diagnostic system can be a useful tool. Diagnostic systems employ information already available in a machine’s control system (such as control signals, system state, sensor readings and so forth) to perform intelligent fault detection and localisation, and predict future faults and service needs.
