  1. 1. Route Planning of Battery Electric Heavy-Duty Commercial Vehicles : Using Contraction Hierarchies and Mixed Integer Programming

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Datalogi

    Author : Olle Delborg; Elias Insulander; [2023]
    Keywords : route planning; route optimization; contraction hierarchies; mixed integer programming; vehicle routing problem; electric trucks; electric vehicles; battery; openstreetmap; shortest path; Dijkstra;

    Abstract : This thesis addresses route planning of Battery Electric Heavy-Duty Commercial Vehicles to enhance the reliability of electric vehicle transport. Collaborating with Scania, a Swedish truck manufacturing company, the goal is to develop a pipeline that uses open source data from OpenStreetMap and performs a modified Contraction Hierarchy in order to create a graph that can be used as input to a modified Vehicle Routing Problem formulation using Mixed Integer Programming. Abstract : The Internet of Things (IoT) is widely adopted across various fields due to its flexibility and low cost. Energy-harvesting Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are becoming a building block of many IoT applications and provide a perpetual source of energy to power energy-constrained IoT devices. READ MORE

  3. 3. Performance analysis of the FRRouting Route Server

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Emil Ståhl; [2021]
    Keywords : FRRouting; Border Gateway Protocol; Route Server; Internet eXchange Points; FRRouting; Border Gateway Protocol; Route Server; Internet eXchange Points;

    Abstract : The delivery of IP traffic on the Internet depends on the complex interactions between a set of autonomous systems that exchange routing information about IP prefix destinations utilizing the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP). Autonomous systems are often connected to a route server located at an Internet eXchange Point, which facilitates the administration of BGP peering arrangements for all parties connected to it. 4. 4. A pragmatic approach to improve the efficiency of the waste management system in Stockholm through the use of Big Data, Heuristics and open source VRP solvers : A real life waste collection problem;Stockholm’s waste collection system and inherent vehicle routing problem, VRP

    University essay from KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknik

    Author : Rafael Salcedo Villanueva; [2020]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : In this thesis, we will address a real life waste collection problem; Stockholm’s waste collection system and inherent vehicle routing problem, VRP. To do this we will first delve into some mathematical theory of Combinatorial Optimization and Heuristics to understand the fundamentals of the problem. READ MORE

  5. 5. An Analysis of Geospatial Factors in Medium Voltage Grid Distribution Network Routing

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Author : Chaitanya Tendolkar; [2019]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : To provide electricity access to the population currently deprived of it, is one of the sustainable development goals. Although the number is decreasing and is below 1 billion people without access to electricity for the first time in the year 2017, there is still much to be done. READ MORE
