  1. 1. Online Sample Selection for Resource Constrained Networked Systems

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Philip Sjösvärd; Samuel Miksits; [2022]
    Keywords : Online learning; Sample Selection; Real-time Learning; Random Forest; Reservoir Sampling; Relevance and Redundancy; Binned Distribution; Autoregressive Model; Change Detection; Model Re-computation;

    Abstract : As more devices with different service requirements become connected to networked systems, such as Internet of Things (IoT) devices, maintaining quality of service becomes increasingly difficult. Large data sets can be obtained ahead of time in networks to train prediction models offline, however, resulting in high computational costs. READ MORE

  2. 2. Automatic classification of cardiovascular age of healthy people by dynamical patterns of the heart rhythm

    University essay from Linköpings universitet/Statistik och maskininlärning

    Author : priya kurian pullolickal; [2022]
    Keywords : Electrocardiogram ECG measures the electrical impulses of the heart. The time inter- val between two successive R peaks measured in millisecond using an ECG is called as an RR-interval. The distribution of the RR-intervals as well as classification of cardiovascu- lar age of healthy people from RR-interval was done in this thesis. For that; the data was preprocessed and time series plots were analyzed from sample dataset. The RR-intervals were then aligned to have the same start time using functions written and then an aver- age RR-interval series for each decade was created. The coefficient of variation was very less for this averaged dataset which concluded that averaging the RR-interval was a good approach. The averaged dataset per age decade as well agreed to the conclusion of the sample data set that the heart rate variability decreases with increasing age. Three clusters of age decade were also visible in the averaged dataset. The kurtosis; skew; mean; me- dian; histograms and Q-Q Plot were calculated for the sample as well as averaged dataset to find the distribution. The values all concluded that the RR-intervals follow Gaussian distribution or mixture of Gaussian distribution. The Poincaré plots showed that the dis- tribution of RR-interval is comet shaped for healthy individuals. The features were ex- tracted from the distribution as well as from the distribution of Discrete Fourier Transform DFT for classifying the age group from RR-intervals. Svitzky-Golay filtering was done to smooth the signal before taking the features from DFT. Random Forest and Support Vector Machine was the machine learning algorithms used to classify the age decade. Later the results were compared using a dataset from physionet that had RR-intervals of individuals suffering from myocardial infraction. The age classification using Random Forest and Sup- port Vector Machine concluded that the Gdańsk dataset using Random Forest Algorithm and three classes gave the highest test accuracy of 59% for the dataset.;

  3. 3. Health and welfare observation in new broiler hydrids in Sweden

    University essay from SLU/Dept. of Animal Environment and Health

    Author : Abdul Kader Alhamed; [2022]
    Keywords : Slow growing; Rowan Ranger; Hubbard; Organic; Welfare quality; Innovation;

    Abstract : The stronger demand from consumers and welfare society to introduce new breeds that fit for higher welfare and better sustainability has been a strong factor to start introducing new breeds to the Swedish market and to meet these strong demands. Two breeds has been chosen as interesting breeds to be studied in the Swedish market. READ MORE

  4. 4. Real-Time Inspired Hybrid Scheduler for 5G New Radio

    University essay from Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för system- och rymdteknik

    Author : Tommy Andersson; [2022]
    Keywords : 5G NR; Network Scheduling; Real-Time Scheduling; Cloud Gaming; Quality of Experience;

    Abstract : As an increasing position of the world’s communication moves towards the cloud and wireless solutions the requirement for good throughput and low delay increases. One step towards meeting higher requirements is the move from 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) to 5G New Radio (NR). READ MORE

  5. 5. Banger for the Buck : Predicting Growth of Music Tracks using Machine Learning

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Elliot Nilsson; Liza Wensink; [2022]
    Keywords : Time series classification; Multivariate time series; Music industry; Record label business model.;

    Abstract : The advent of music streaming has made it increasingly important for actors in the music industry to understand if tracks are going to succeed or not. This study investigates if it is possible to accurately classify the growth of the listener base of a music track based on multivariate time series with listener behavior data. READ MORE
