  1. 1. Multiple-Emitter Super-resolution Imaging using the Alternating Descent Conditional Gradient Method

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Beräkningsbiologi och biologisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisation; Lunds universitet/Institutionen för astronomi och teoretisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisation

    Author : Dolev Illouz; [2023]
    Keywords : super-resolution; alternating descent conditional gradient method; ADCG; multiple-emitter localization; nanoscale imaging; single molecule tracking; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : This thesis examines the state-of-the-art 2D super-resolution technique alternating descent conditional gradient (ADCG) method's ability to accurately localize fluorophores in diffraction-limited single molecule images (SMI) and analyze the impact of pre-processing and post-processing modules on ADCG's fluorophore localization. A synthetic dataset obtained from the 2013 Grand Challenge localization microscopy and a temporally linked dataset obtained from an unpublished set of Optical DNA mapping experiments performed by Jonathan Jeffet at the NanoBioPhotonix Lab at Tel-Aviv University were initially segmented to extract their noise parameters. 2. 2. Trainable Region of Interest Prediction: Hard Attention Framework for Hardware-Efficient Event-Based Computer Vision Neural Networks on Neuromorphic Processors

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik

    Author : Cina Arjmand; [2023]
    Keywords : Artifical Intelligence; Machine Learning; Neuromorphic Engineering; Computer Vision; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : Neuromorphic processors are a promising new type of hardware for optimizing neural network computation using biologically-inspired principles. They can effectively leverage information sparsity such as in images from event-based cameras, and are well-adapted to processing event-based data in an energy-efficient fashion. READ MORE

  3. 3. Image Processing in MRI Guided Real-TimeAdaptive Radiotheraphy - Upsampling and Segmentation of Target Volume and Organs at Risk

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för informationsteknologi

    Author : Shreyas Shivakumara; [2021]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a useful medical imaging technique that is used for cancer treatment.The major drawback of this method is the relatively long scan time, limiting its use for real time tracking of a potentially moving target during the radiotherapy session. 4. 4. Super-Resolution Using Dynamic Cameras

    University essay from Linköpings universitet/Datorseende

    Author : Erik Dahlström; [2020]
    Keywords : Super-resolution; iterative back-projection; digital signal processing;

    Abstract : In digital image correlation, an optical full-field analysis method that can determine displacements of an object under load, high-resolution images are preferable. One way to improve the resolution is to improve the camera hardware. READ MORE

  5. 5. Generative adversarial networks for single image super resolution in microscopy images

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Saurabh Gawande; [2018]
    Keywords : Deep Learning; Generative adversarial networks; Super resolution; High content screening microscopy; Deep Learning; Generative adversarial networks; Super resolution; High content screening microscopy;

    Abstract : Image Super resolution is a widely-studied problem in computer vision, where the objective is to convert a lowresolution image to a high resolution image. Conventional methods for achieving super-resolution such as image priors, interpolation, sparse coding require a lot of pre/post processing and optimization. READ MORE
