  1. 1. Domain Knowledge and Representation Learning for Centroid Initialization in Text Clustering with k-Means : An exploratory study

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : David Yu; [2023]
    Keywords : Natural language processing; Sentiment analysis; Clustering; Language model; Transformer; Heuristic; Språkteknologi; Sentimentanalys; Klustering; Språkmodell; Transformer; Heuristik;

    Abstract : Text clustering is a problem where texts are partitioned into homogeneous clusters, such as partitioning them based on their sentiment value. Two techniques to address the problem are representation learning, in particular language representation models, and clustering algorithms. READ MORE

  2. 2. Multiple-Emitter Super-resolution Imaging using the Alternating Descent Conditional Gradient Method

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Beräkningsbiologi och biologisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisation; Lunds universitet/Institutionen för astronomi och teoretisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisation

    Author : Dolev Illouz; [2023]
    Keywords : super-resolution; alternating descent conditional gradient method; ADCG; multiple-emitter localization; nanoscale imaging; single molecule tracking; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : This thesis examines the state-of-the-art 2D super-resolution technique alternating descent conditional gradient (ADCG) method's ability to accurately localize fluorophores in diffraction-limited single molecule images (SMI) and analyze the impact of pre-processing and post-processing modules on ADCG's fluorophore localization. A synthetic dataset obtained from the 2013 Grand Challenge localization microscopy and a temporally linked dataset obtained from an unpublished set of Optical DNA mapping experiments performed by Jonathan Jeffet at the NanoBioPhotonix Lab at Tel-Aviv University were initially segmented to extract their noise parameters. 3. 3. Experiments with Visual Odometry for Hydrobatic Autonomous Underwater Vehicles

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Somnath Balaji Suresh Kumar; [2023]
    Keywords : Hydrobatic AUVs; VO; Stonefish; ORB-SLAM2; VISO2; Hydrobatiska AUV:er; VO; Stonefish; ORB-SLAM2; VISO2;

    Abstract : Hydrobatic Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) are underactuated robots that can perform agile maneuvers in challenging underwater environments with high efficiency in speed and range. The challenge lies in localizing and navigating these AUVs particularly for performing manipulation tasks because common sensors such as GPS become very unreliable underwater due to their poor accuracy. 4. 4. Digitally Controlled Oscillator Topologies for mm-Wave Pulsed Coherent Radar

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik

    Author : Klas Junskog; [2023]
    Keywords : oscillators; mm-wave; radar; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : The advancement of future generations of wireless communication and radar sensing warrants the need for mm-wave digitally controlled oscillators (DCOs) with high-frequency trade-offs in consideration. The purpose of this project is to investigate DCO topologies inspired from scientific literature. READ MORE

  5. 5. Deep Learning-Based Anomaly Detection for Predictive Maintenance of Cold Isostatic Press

    University essay from Mälardalens universitet/Akademin för innovation, design och teknik

    Author : Joakim Nylander Nordström; [2023]
    Keywords : Machine Learning; Deep Learning; Predictive Maintenance; High Pressure Processing;

    Abstract : Predictive maintenance is an automated technique that analyses sensor data from industrial systems to enable downtime planning. Available for this study is unlabelled data from sensors placed in proximity to hydraulic system outlets of a cold isostatic press. READ MORE
