  1. 21. Heterogeneous catalytic reactions studied with transient gas supply and event-averaged ambient pressure x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/NanoLund: Centre for Nanoscience

    Author : Qianhui Liu; [2022]
    Keywords : Ambient pressure x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy; Event-averaging; Pd 100 surface structure oscillation; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : CO oxidation over Pd(100) is studied with ambient pressure x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (APXPS). Cyclic gas composition pulsing of the CO:O2 ratio, combined with a new method using software based event-averaging by image recognition over many pulses, is used to improve the signal-to-noise ratio substantially. 2. 22. Prediction of flue gas properties using artificial intelligence : Application of supervised machine learning by utilization of Near-Infrared Spectroscopy on solid biofuels

    University essay from Mälardalens universitet/Akademin för ekonomi, samhälle och teknik

    Author : Bashe Abdirahman Hussein; Emran Samimi; [2022]
    Keywords : Artificial Intelligence; Machine learning; Near-Infrared spectroscopy; Solid biofuels; Fuel element; Flue gas composition; CCS;

    Abstract : This degree project studies implementation and comparison of different AI models to predict (1) solid biofuel elements including carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, and oxygen as well as moisture content, ash content, and higher heating value (HHV) of the fuel and (2) flue gas compositions such as concentration of carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen, nitrogen oxides, and water content using near-infrared spectroscopy and chemometric approaches. The study executes these predictions by simulating the operation of a combined heat and power plant (CHP) that is equipped with carbon capture and storage (CCS). READ MORE

  3. 23. Alloy adaptation towards accepting higher amounts of secondary material

    University essay from Jönköping University/JTH, Material och tillverkning

    Author : Nikhil Itagi; Shubham Kadam; [2022]
    Keywords : Aluman-16; Phase diagram; Phases; Microstructure; ThermoCalc; Intermetallic; Fractography.;

    Abstract : The work presented aims to find microstructure and mechanical properties after remelting of aluman-16 alloy by using high pressure die casting (HPDC). Alloy has been casted with specific composition. The alumna-16 alloy has been casted in 2 different composition of different Si content of 0.22% and 0. READ MORE

  4. 24. Development of Nickel-Titanium Shape Memory Alloys using Electron Beam Melting

    University essay from KTH/Materialvetenskap

    Author : Georgios Manolios; [2022]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : In this project, the effect of electron beam melting on the behavior of NiTi shape memory alloyshas been studied, with focus on the effects of recycling powder within the process and theprocess parameters used and how “smoking” is affected. Flowability, powder characteristicsand chemical composition have been evaluated using imaging analysis techniques, Hallflowmeter measurements, FT4 powder rheometry and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopyboth in virgin powder and in recycled powders. 5. 25. Lost in Space : Three Case Studies in Music Production Using Immersive Audio

    University essay from Kungl. Musikhögskolan/Institutionen för musik- och medieproduktion

    Author : Henry Olavi Mikkonen; [2022]
    Keywords : Music production; immersive audio; Ambisonics; Dolby Atmos; Virtual Reality VR ; 360-video; psychoacoustics.; Musikproduktion; immersivt ljud; Ambisonics; Dolby Atmos; Virtual Reality VR ; 360-video; psykoakustik.;

    Abstract : Detta examensarbete innefattar en utforskning om mitt arbete med immersivt ljud och hur det har påverkat min konstnärliga praktik som musikproducent. Utforskningen görs genom en analys av tre delstudier bestående av en 360-video som spelades in i S:t Jakobskyrkan i Stockholm, en VR upplevelse i en virtuell kopia av Nathan Milsteinsalen på Kungliga Musikhögskolan, samt en komposition som producerades med Dolby Atmos.
