Abstract: The purpose of this study is to investigate if there is a relationship between corruption and economic growth in Haiti. This is investigated through the use of correlation analysis. The main factors influencing this relationship will also be examined. A small negative relationshipbetween corruption and economic growth is found. This relationship is influenced by many measurable as well as hidden factor. This study has focused upon political and market factors such as international trade, rent-seeking and presidential shifts. The political aspects showed to be more significant to the relationship between corruption and economic growth than the market aspects.
