Evaluating logistics : The development of a method for examining a logistics system and evaluating its performance

Abstract: This thesis develops a method for examining a logistics system and evaluating its performance so that problem areas can be identified. This method is developed based on a literature review and evaluated through workshops and case studies. It consists of four steps; System Description, Input and Output, Transformation and finally Deeper Analysis and Conclusions. By conducting an evaluation based on the method conclusions can be drawn concerning the logistics performance of the system within a week.
