A Daemon Remembrance Agent

Abstract: A rememberance agent is meant to supplement its user’s memory by suggesting previously seen material that may be relevant in the current context. The remembrance agent concept was developed by a research group at the MIT Media Lab led by Bradley Rhodes, while the Daemon environment was developed by the Software Technology research group at Ericsson Radio Systems. The goal of this master’s thesis is to combine these two ideas. Other objectives are to look into the charateristics of a remembrance agent’s user interface, and to try to find out to what extent a remembrance agent can be made platform and application independent.
