Abstract: The popularity of the Android OS has led to the development of millions of applications. The assumption of the majority of the Android user base is that these applications are trustworthy and that the Android system does enough to protect them from the untrustworthy applications. This assumption is however false as the Android system does allow trustworthy applications to track users in different ways and does nothing to detect and remove untrustworthy applications. This project aims at informing users about which of their installed applications is tracking them and all of the negative effects it can have on a persona that is similar to them. This is done through an application that uses a pre-filled log containing the data collection of different applications to match an application with negative effects on a specific predefined persona.
