A Difference: Exploring Perspectives on Corporate Environmental Performance and Disclosure

Abstract: The Thesis provides an explorative insight into the topics of corporate sustainability, corporate environmental performance and corporate environmental disclosure. Broadly supported by literature review and literature references it contributes to theoretical understanding about how trust, culture, power and governance act as driving forces of corporate environmental performance, and as factors encourage corporations to implement environmental disclosure. It also to a certain degree delivers responses related to their impacts on sustainability and influence on human-environment relations in the corporate context, as they are perceived and socially constructed in discourse by people who work in the Czech financial services sector.
