Abstract: This bachelor thesis aims to guide the setup process of an autonomous fixed wing UAV. The basiccomponents and concepts are explained. Everything from the structure of the electrical system tothe procedure for test flights is covered. The autopilot with the accompanying electrical systemwas implemented in a prebuilt, commercially sourced, airframe. A detailed and technical guide wascreated that goes through the setup process step by step. The main goal of this project is to helpfuture projects at KTH related to fixed wing UAVs through the initial setup and test flights to speedup their development. In order to do this a fixed wing UAV was set up and tested which is thefocus of this report.
