  1. 1. E-noses equipped with Artificial Intelligence Technology for diagnosis of dairy cattle disease in veterinary

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Farbod Haselzadeh; [2021]
    Keywords : Artificial intelligence; Electronic nose; Gas sensor arrays; Principal component analysis; Autoencoder; Veterinary diagnose; Feature extraction; Dimentionality reduction; Normalization; Maskin intelligence; Artificial intelligence; Elektronisk näsa; Gas sensore array; Normalisering; dimensionalitetsminskning; Autoencoder; Klassificering AI; E-nose; Feature Extraction; Normalization; PCA; Autoencoder; Encoder; Decoder; MLP; Classifier; LDA; Support Vector Machine; Logistic Regression; Cross Validation; Signal segmentation;

    Abstract : The main goal of this project, running at Neurofy AB, was that developing an AI recognition algorithm also known as, gas sensing algorithm or simply recognition algorithm, based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, which would have the ability to detect or predict diary cattle diseases using odor signal data gathered, measured and provided by Gas Sensor Array (GSA) also known as, Electronic Nose or simply E-nose developed by the company. Two major challenges in this project were to first overcome the noises and errors in the odor signal data, as the E-nose is supposed to be used in an environment with difference conditions than laboratory, for instance, in a bail (A stall for milking cows) with varying humidity and temperatures, and second to find a proper feature extraction method appropriate for GSA. 2. 2. Development of a Near Infrared Spectroscopy Model for Prediction of Fibre Compounds in Alfalfa

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Teknisk mikrobiologi

    Author : Christina Andersen; [2020]
    Keywords : alfalfa; lucerne; medicago sativa; green protein powder; NIR; near infrared spectroscopy; model development; matlab; PLS; partial least squares; PCA; principal component analysis; SNV; standard normal variate; fibre prediction; TDF; total dietary fibre; applied microbiology; teknisk mikrobiologi; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : Background: This project investigates if it is possible to develop a calibration model from near infrared (NIR) spectroscopic measurements, for determination of the amount and type of fibre fractions within protein powder produced from the legume alfalfa, without performing wet experiments. Alfalfa is also known as Medicago sativa and lucerne, but is in this project further referred to as alfalfa. READ MORE

  3. 3. Evaluation of decentralized ventilation system with heat recovery

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Energi och byggnadsdesign; Lunds universitet/Institutionen för arkitektur och byggd miljö

    Author : Sunkavalli Kowshik Chowdary; [2020]
    Keywords : Decentralized ventilation; airflow; air draught; heat exchangers; tracer gas; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : Humans spend 90% of their times indoors, and maintaining a pleasant indoor environment is essential. Factors like human behaviour, combustion sources, cleaning supplies, affect the indoor environment, which could potentially affect the human health.the most common answer to controlling the indoor environment is a good HVAC system. 4. 4. Impact of human caregiving style on the dog-human bond

    University essay from SLU/Dept. of Animal Environment and Health

    Author : Anna Fahlgren; [2019]
    Keywords : Anthrozoology; ; attachment style; caregiving style; ; dog behaviour; ;

    Abstract : Research about attachment behaviours of dogs as a response to human caregiving behaviour as well as the owner’s view of the relationship, is of relevance for the welfare of the dog and the owner. Dogs have been obser-ved showing similar attachment behaviours toward humans as seen in child-ren toward a parent. READ MORE
