    Author : Barath Kumar Sathish Kumar; [2022]
    Keywords : Radio Frequency energy harvesting; Antenna as a sensor; Long-Term Evolution; Rectifier; Printed Circuit Board; Altium Designer; Matching network; Voltage multiplier; Schottky diodes; Multiband LTE antenna; Ambient energy harvesting; Low power Internet of Things; Wireless power transfer; Radiofrekvensenergiskörd; Antenn som sensor; LTE; Likriktare; Printed Circuit Board; Altium Designer; Matchande nätverk; Spänningsmultiplikator; Schottky-dioder; Multiband LTE-antenn; Omgivande energiskörd; Lågeffekt Internet of Things; Trådlös kraftöverföring;

    Abstract : This thesis primarily deals with the concept of designing an antenna based device to harvest energy from Radio Frequency (RF) and using the harvested energy to sense the available Long Term Evolution (LTE) network in order for the Internet of Things (IoT) devices to connect to the network for the purpose of transmitting and receiving data. Secondarily the importance of this project is targeting how to conserve battery power in an IoT device and extend it’s lifetime. READ MORE

  2. 2. Design and evaluation of ambient RF energy harvesting platform for sensor-based systems : An experimental study of RF energy harvesting

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Ibrahim Hamed; [2022]
    Keywords : Radiofrekvensenergiskördning; Trådlös energiskördning; Backscattering-teknik; Programvarudefinierad radio; EMC; PCB; Antenn;

    Abstract : Trådlös energiskörd möjliggör förmågan att skörda energi från elektromagnetisk strålning. Med de senaste framstegen inom trådlös kommunikationsteknik och med tillgången till energieffektiva sensorer, så har radiofrekvensenergiskördning potential till att bli en självförsörjande sensorbaserad plattform. 3. 3. Radiated Susceptibility Measurements on Analogue Temperature Sensors

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Jacob Cederlund; [2020]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : The need for electromagnetic compatibility is growing steadily as the usage of electronics in our daily lives is increasing more than ever. A common issue encountered in electromagnetic compatibility testing is analogue sensors that fail when exposed to electromagnetic fields. READ MORE

  4. 4. Energy harvesting from ambient WiFi energy : A method of harvesting and measuring ambient WiFi energy

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Alpha Fofana; Carl Mossberg; [2019]
    Keywords : Energy harvesting; Rectenna; Impedance matching; Embedded system; IoT; WiFi; Sustainable Energy; Utvinna energi; Impedansmatchning; Inbyggda system; IoT; WiFi; Hållbar utveckling;

    Abstract : The aim of this thesis was to investigate the question of how to harvest RF energy and if we can harvest enough RF energy for it to be useful in an application. It is aimed towards sensor node applications, commonly used in a typical office environment. The WiFi band was chosen since it is omnipresent in the same environment. READ MORE

  5. 5. Impact of Time Synchronization Accuracy in Integrated Navigation Systems

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Hemanth Ram Kartik Bommakanti; [2019]
    Keywords : Real-Time Solution; Time Synchronization; Integrated Navigation System; Global Navigation Satellite System; Inertial Measurement Unit; Realtidslösning; tidssynkronisering; integrerat navigationssystem; globalt satellitbaserat navigationssystem; tröghetsmätningsenhet;

    Abstract : Global Navigation Satellite System/Inertial Measurement Unit (GNSS/IMU) Integrated Navigation Systems (INS) integrate the positive features of GNSS and IMU for optimal navigation guidance in high accuracy outdoor navigation systems, for example using Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) techniques. Time synchronization of IMU data with precise GNSS based time is necessary to accurately synchronize the two systems. READ MORE
