  1. 1. Wireless electrocardiogram based on ultra-wideband communications

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Signaler och System

    Author : Maria Toll; [2019]
    Keywords : UWB; ECG; EKG; ultra-wideband; electrocardiogram; ultra wideband; radio communication; Decawave; DW1000; IoT; internet of things; Android; IEEE 802.15.4-2011;

    Abstract : The goal for this master thesis is to develop a prototype that uses ultra-wideband (UWB) communications to wirelessly transfer electrocardiogram (ECG) data from an ECG measurement unit to an Android device (smartphone or similar) which is used to process and display the ECG signals. The prototype should consist of two hardware nodes; (1) Node one having a ECG measurement unit (an AD8232 single lead heart rate monitor), an UWB communication module (a Decawave DWM1000 module) and a microcontroller (an Arduino DUE); and (2) Node two having an Android device (an Android smartphone), an UWB communication module (a Decawave DWM1000 module) and a microcontroller (an Arduino DUE). University essay from Karlstads universitet/Institutionen för matematik och datavetenskap (from 2013)

    Author : Anton Alm; [2019]
    Keywords : iot; internet of things; thread; mesh network;

    Abstract : This thesis summarizes my project in setting up a Thread network. The idea of this project was presented by the company ÅF in Karlstad, Sweden. ÅF wishes to upgrade their current demonstrator for IoT. The current demonstrator includes Azure Cloud component, Raspberry Pi, Bluetooth and Arduino components. READ MORE

  3. 3. Development of a Water Activity Control and Reaction Monitoring System for Acidolysis and Transesterification Reactions using Immobilized Lipases in a Rotating Bed Reactor

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Bioteknik (master); Lunds universitet/Bioteknik (CI)

    Author : Eimantas Gladkauskas; [2019]
    Keywords : Enzyme; Enzymes; Immobilized enzyme; bioreactor; rotating bed reactor; acidolysis; transesterification; arduino; water activity; thermodynamic water activity; Enzyme activity; automatic reaction tracking; reaction tracking; biotechnology; electrical engineering; relative humidity; spinchem; enzymatic synthesis; water activity control; process automation; lipases; lipase; bioteknik; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : Controlled water activity in an enzymatic reaction can influence enzyme activity and productivity. A small layer of water around an enzyme gives it a required flexibility to catalyze reactions at a higher rate in contrast with the one that is dry (Adlercreutz, Dicko, Larsson, & Månsson, 2017). 4. 4. Automation of Circuit Board Testing

    University essay from

    Author : Filip Palm; [2019]
    Keywords : kretskort;

    Abstract : The testing of printed circuit boards (PCBs) is a common quality control process mandatory for any of the circuit board factories to guarantee the quality and functionality of the PCBs. The manual operation of the testing process by an operator will be too difficult for a large volume of PCBs. READ MORE

  5. 5. Monitoring Air Quality in Ångström Cleanroom Laboratory

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för teknikvetenskaper; Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för teknikvetenskaper; Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för teknikvetenskaper

    Author : Linus Kanestad; Gustaf Andersson; Karl-Johan Hällgren; [2019]
    Keywords : Internet of things; Rasberry Pi; Radio;

    Abstract : The air quality in the Ångström cleanroom was to be measured for monitoring and control purposes, with the measurements displayed on a website. To do this several sensors, micro controllers, means of communication, and ways to host the server were investigated. READ MORE
