  1. 1. MANGO - Generating 2D-Magnetic Field Maps From Normal-Conducting Magnets Of Experimental Areas

    University essay from KTH/Fysik

    Author : Ambre Visive; [2023]
    Keywords : Applied Physics; Particle Physics; MANGO; Magnetic Field Maps; Normal-Conducting Magnets; Finite-Element Modelling; Opera-2D; Git Repository; Python Package; Beam Lines; Experimental Areas; CERN; Tillämpad Fysik; Partikelfysik; MANGO; Magnetfältskartor; Normalkonduktiva Elektromagneter; Finit Elementmodellering; Opera-2D; Git Repository; Python Package; Partikelstrållinje; Experimentområden; CERN;

    Abstract : This thesis discusses the development of MANGO, a tool created to model normal-conducting magnets which were installed in the 1970s in the experimental areas at CERN, and store their analysis. MANGO formulates an answer to two problems faced by the physicists of the Beam Department when they model a beam line: first, how to produce new magnetic field maps and, second, how to easily access existing ones? It contains a multi-use package that offers an automated process to produce magnetic field maps from finite-element models of magnets. READ MORE

  2. 2. Mitigating Unintended Bias in Toxic Comment Detection using Entropy-based Attention Regularization

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Fabio Camerota; [2023]
    Keywords : XLNet; BERT; Toxic Comment Classification; Entropy-based Attention Regularization; XLNet; BERT; Toxisk Kommentar Klassificering; Entropibaserad uppmärksamhetsreglering;

    Abstract : The proliferation of hate speech is a growing challenge for social media platforms, as toxic online comments can have dangerous consequences also in real life. There is a need for tools that can automatically and reliably detect hateful comments, and deep learning models have proven effective in solving this issue. READ MORE

  3. 3. Java Auto Grader

    University essay from Högskolan i Halmstad/Akademin för informationsteknologi

    Author : Shahm Abdulrazzak; Tor Mattsson; [2023]
    Keywords : Property-based Testing. JUnit Quick-Check. Automation. Auto grader. Test generator. Programming. Java.;

    Abstract : The process of grading code submissions in programming courses is time-consuming and error-prone. To address this issue, we propose a project that automates the testing and grading process for Java code submissions at Halmstad University. READ MORE

  4. 4. Analysis of speaking time and content of the various debates of the presidential campaign : Automated AI analysis of speech time and content of presidential debates based on the audio using speaker detection and topic detection

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

  5. 5. Behavioural comparison of test and field executions of video games

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Chloé Marie Porion; [2023]
    Keywords : Software Testing; Field Monitoring; Test Monitoring; Video Games; Video Game Modding; Mjukvarutestning; Fältövervakning; Testövervakning; Videospel; Videospel Modding;

    Abstract : Software developers write tests to ensure that their application behaves as intended. However, the behaviour of an application in production may deviate from the behaviours that are tested. This difference between test and field executions is rarely assessed in practice. READ MORE
