  1. 1. Instance Segmentation on depth images using Swin Transformer for improved accuracy on indoor images

    University essay from Linköpings universitet/Artificiell intelligens och integrerade datorsystem

    Author : Alfred Hagberg; Mustaf Abdullahi Musse; [2022]
    Keywords : Instance Segmentation; segmentation; deep learning; semantic segmentation; swin transformer; mask rcnn; rcnn; cascade mask rcnn; slam; simultaneous localization and mapping; object detection; COCO; NYU dataset; vision transformer;

    Abstract : The Simultaneous Localisation And Mapping (SLAM) problem is an open fundamental problem in autonomous mobile robotics. One of the latest most researched techniques used to enhance the SLAM methods is instance segmentation. READ MORE

  2. 2. Intelligent Drone Swarms : Motion planning and safe collision avoidance control of autonomous drone swarms

    University essay from Linköpings universitet/Institutionen för systemteknik

    Author : Hilding Gunnarsson; Adam Åsbrink; [2022]
    Keywords : Artificial Potential Field APF ; Control Barrier Function CBF ; Leader Follower control; Micro Aerial Vehicle MAV ; Optimal motion planning;

    Abstract : The use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), so-called drones, has been growingrapidly in the last decade. Today, they are used for, among other things, monitoring missions and inspections of places that are difficult for people to access. Toefficiently and robustly execute these types of missions, a swarm of drones maybe used, i.e. READ MORE

  3. 3. Leadership in Multi-Tier Green Supply Chains : A case study about how supply chain leaders and their followers cascade green sustainability throughout a multi-tier supply chain

    University essay from Linköpings universitet/Institutionen för ekonomisk och industriell utveckling; Linköpings universitet/Filosofiska fakulteten

    Author : Matthias Thorén; Matthew Wehmueller; [2022]
    Keywords : Multi-tier sustainable supply chain management; Green supply chain management; Supply chain followership; Supply chain leadership; Barriers to green supply chain management.;

    Abstract : Motivation: Previous research has shown that the focal firm’s supply chain leadership styles could have an impact on the outcome of green supply chain management. However, previous studies of focal firms, such as multinational corporations, have shown that many govern their supply chains through an indirect approach, which needs further research due to the lack of research in the combination of different supply chain leadership and followership styles. 4. 4. Verification of elastomer characteristics in electro-mechanical linear actuator

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Author : Rohit Karmungikar; [2022]
    Keywords : ANSYS; Aging; Hyperelastic; MATLAB and Mooney-Rivlin; ANSYS; Åldrande; Hyperelastic; MATLAB och Mooney-Rivlin;

    Abstract : Cascade Drives develops electromechanical actuators using a rack and pinion configuration to achieve a combination of high load and high-speed operation. A patented load distribution mechanism enables the use of multiple pinions on a single rack, resulting in a compact unit with high positional accuracy capable of absorbing shock loads. READ MORE

  5. 5. CP Violation Studies in Cascade Decay Sequence

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Kärnfysik

    Author : Roman Sultanov; [2022]
    Keywords : CP violation; cascade; decay; asymmetry parameters; polarisation; uncertainty;

    Abstract : This thesis studies CP violation in the decay of the Ξ− hyperon, also known as the cascade baryon, which decays in the sequence Ξ− → Λπ− → pπ−π−. A difference between the angular distribution of this decay sequence and the angular distribution of the charge conjugate decay sequence ͞Ξ+ →͞Λπ+ → ͞pπ+π+, after taking into account the inversion of the momenta due to the parity operation, is indicative of CP violation.
