  1. 11. Performance comparison between Clustered and Cascaded Clustered Shading

    University essay from Blekinge Tekniska Högskola/Institutionen för datavetenskap

    Author : Adam Levin; Joakim Bresche; [2022]
    Keywords : Clustered Shading; Cascaded Clustered Shading; Computer Graphics; Rendering;

    Abstract : Background. The game-industry is rapidly demanding more and more comput-ing power in its strive for more realistic renditions of environments, simulations andgraphics. To accelerate the improvements made to the realism of real time graph-ics further, optimizations like Clustered and Cascaded Clustered Shading come intoplay. READ MORE

  2. 12. Sustainable Prosumer Identity projects and motives

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Institutionen för tjänstevetenskap

    Author : Omar Hawasli; Chupei Zhang; [2022]
    Keywords : Consumer culture theory; Prosumer; Prosumption; Identity; Identity motive; Identity process. The process-oriented model; Social Sciences;

    Abstract : As people develop different identities throughout their lifespan, unparalleled challenges such as climate change and COVID-19 and the great tendency to adapt to more sustainable life have encouraged them to opt for types of identities that are more suitable to overcome such challenges. Identities based on purchasing products and services for self-consumption have become less attractive, an inactive stance has been supplanted with a more active one where a growing number of people are more conscious of the adverse effects of their consumption on the environment and society, and more inclined to disengage from the market by refusing overconsumption and forming an identity that is denoted by anti-consumption or self-production. 3. 13. Geometry studies of high energy 16O collisions

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Teoretisk partikelfysik - Geonomgår omorganisation

    Author : Aliaksei Kuzmenka; [2022]
    Keywords : Ion Collisions; Oxygen; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : In this project a model of oxygen, 16O, nuclei, where the nucleons are organised in α-clusters, was implemented in the Pythia Monte Carlo event generator. To study the effects of the new model, some observables, such as the distribution of the number of the wounded nucleons, charged particle multiplicity in the forward and central pseudorapidity region, and the pseudorapidity distribution for different centrality bins and eccentricity, are compared to the model originally implemented in Pythia (Woods-Saxon). 4. 14. Domain Adaptation for Networking

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för informationsteknologi

    Author : Adam Derin Orucu; [2022]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : This thesis explores domain adaptation methods to improve machine learning models in a networking environment where the domain of the data changes after initial data gathering. The applied methods make use of Generative Adversarial Nets and aim to create a model to predict service performance on a client machine using resource utilisation data collected from a server cluster that provides the service. 5. 15. The self-exciting Hawkes processand dynamic contagion

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Sannolikhetsteori och kombinatorik

    Author : Isak Dahlqvist; [2022]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : We introduce the necessary theory to construct self-exciting processes, particularly random and Poisson measures. Our goal is to show how to work with and analyze self-exciting processes. We consider a Hawkes process with the exponential kernel, a counting process with an intensity that depends on the process itself. READ MORE
