  1. 1. Planet-NeRF : Neural Radiance Fields for 3D Reconstruction on Satellite Imagery in Season Changing Environments

    University essay from Linköpings universitet/Datorseende

    Author : Erica Ingerstad; Liv Kåreborn; [2024]
    Keywords : NeRF; Neural Radiance Field; Satellite Imagery; Machine Learning; Deep Learning;

    Abstract : This thesis investigates the seasonal predictive capabilities of Neural Radiance Fields (NeRF) applied to satellite images. Focusing on the utilization of satellite data, the study explores how Sat-NeRF, a novel approach in computer vision, per- forms in predicting seasonal variations across different months. READ MORE

  2. 2. Procedural Natural Texture Generation on a Global Scale

    University essay from Linköpings universitet/Informationskodning

    Author : Anna Pohl Lundgren; [2023]
    Keywords : computer graphics; procedural generation; procedural textures; gpu; image processing; satellite imagery; real time; real-time; shadow detection;

    Abstract : This Master’s thesis investigates the application of dynamically generated procedural terrain textures for texturing 3D representations of the Earth’s surface. The study explores techniques to overcome limitations of the currently most common method – projecting satellite imagery onto the mesh – such as insufficient resolution for close-up views and challenges in accommodating external lighting models. 3. 3. Data mining on Data sets of Products

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för informationsteknologi

    Author : Robin Klingfors; [2022]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : With the increase of available data, companies are looking for ways to use it to their advantages. One tool that has become a suitable for this task is Data mining, which is a good tool to process and analyze large amounts of data. With the use of data mining, specifically machine learning, one can recognize patterns and classify data. READ MORE

  4. 4. High Resolution Quality Enhancement of Digitized Artwork using Generative Adversarial Networks

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Dennis Magnusson; [2022]
    Keywords : Image enhancement; Image style transfer; Image superresolution; Machine Learning; Bildförbättring; Bildstilöversättning; Bildsuperupplösning; Maskininlärning;

    Abstract : Digitization of physical artwork is usually done using image scanning devices in order to ensure that the output is accurate in terms of color and is of sufficiently high resolution, usually over 300 pixels per inch, however the usage of such a device is in some cases unfeasible due to medium or size constraints. Photography of the artwork is another method of artwork digitization, however such methods often produce results containing camera artifacts such as shadows, reflections or low resolution. READ MORE

  5. 5. Visibility in Smoke With Different Extinction Coefficients

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Brandteknik

    Author : Lea Elhokayem; [2022]
    Keywords : Visibility; smoke; exit sign; extinction coefficient; visibility constant; evacuation; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : Visibility in smoke has since the 1970s gained some attention, mostly after Tadahisa Jin ran the experiments which helped him develop todays widely used visibility equation. By showing that visibility can be assumed to be inversely proportional to the extinction coefficient by a visibility constant (equal to 8 for light emitting sign and 3 for light reflecting), Jin opened up new doors for researchers who were testing out his theory by going around experimenting in different ways and also by showing that there is way for more research to be done.
