  1. 6. Dinosaur Warfare: Ankylosaur and Theropod Coevolution

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Author : Christopher Freer; [2017]
    Keywords : ankylosaur; theropod; coevolution; phenotypic mismatch; red queen; tyrannosaurid; ankylosaurier; theropoder; samevolution; phenotypic mismatch; röd drottning; tyrannosaurid;

    Abstract : Ankylosauria is a clade of armoured dinosaurs that, throughout the Mesozoic, demonstrates divergent evolution of defensive traits, between the robust spikes and osteoderms of nodosaurids to the ankylosaurid tail clubs and lightweight armour. One of the longer-standing hypotheses, which is supported by histological data, stipulates that armament was a direct result of a predator-prey relationship between theropods and ankylosaurians. 2. 7. Morphological variation in the hadrosauroid dentary

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Author : Fredrik Söderblom; [2017]
    Keywords : Hadrosauroidea; dentary; morphometric; heterochrony; peramorphosis; mastication; Hadrosauroidea; dentärben; morfometrisk; heterokroni; peramorfos; tugga;

    Abstract : The near global success reached by hadrosaurid dinosaurs during the Cretaceous has been attributed to their ability to masticate (chew). This behavior is more commonly recognized as a mammalian adaptation and, as a result, its occurrence in a non-mammalian lineage should be accompanied with several evolutionary modifications associated with food collection and processing. 3. 8. An Analysis and Interpretation of the Geoscience BC Trek Project Till Geochemical and Mineralogical Data to Determine the Surficial Geochemical Expression of Bedrock Au-Ag-Cu-Mo Mineralization on the Nechako Plateau, British Columbia, Canada.

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Author : Karin Öberg; [2016]
    Keywords : British Columbia; till; gold; copper; mineralization; British Columbia; morän; mineralisering; guld; koppar;

    Abstract : The mineral exploration in the interior of British Columbia is challenged by an extensive coverage of glacial sediments. The Geoscience British Columbia (GBC) Targeting Resources through Exploration and Knowledge (TREK) Survey has since 2013 collected till samples in the northern interior plateau of British Columbia, covering an area of approximately 25,000km2. 5. 10. Diversity and Ecology of a Middle Campanian (Late Cretaceous) Marine Reptile Assemblage from Skåne, Southern Sweden

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Author : Lena Källsten; [2015]

    Abstract : This study has looked at an assemblage of fossilised teeth from Mesozoic marine amniotes from the Kristianstad basin in southern Sweden in order to make an estimate of the ecomorph diversity within said assemblage through looking at the morphology of the teeth. This was done as a pilot study to see if further studies would be able to produce worthwhile results. READ MORE
