21. Comparison of intensified turbulence events in the Baltic Sea
University essay from Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaperAbstract : Turbulence is important since it affects the exchange of momentum, heat, and trace gases between the atmosphere and the ocean. However, measuring oceanic turbulence is not straightforward and that is why parameterizations that describe turbulence events are important. READ MORE

22. FMCW mmWave Radar for Detection of Pulse, Breathing and Fall within Home Care
University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)Abstract : Countless of elderly people fall and get hurt within their homes, worldwide, every year, and as they can not always reach out for help themselves, they end up helplessly waiting for someone to notice what has occurred. Throughout this work, it is investigated if remote sensing of the mmWave FMCW radar IWR6843AOPEVM can be adopted to detect the incident of falls, and also detect the vital signs of the human subject. 23. Waveform agility for robust radar detection and jamming mitigation
University essay from Uppsala universitet/Fasta tillståndets elektronikAbstract : In this report metrics for jamming resistance and radar performance of waveform sets are described and developed, and different sets of waveforms are optimized, evaluated and compared. It is shown that without additional processing or PRI jitter, waveform sets can reach jamming resistance a few dB worse than what is provided by PRI jitter alone, and together with PRI jitter a few dB better. 24. Characterisation of Low-Level Jets and their Influence on Low-Level Clouds over the Baltic Sea; Östergarnsholm Observatory, Sweden
University essay from Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/FörbränningsfysikAbstract : In this study, about two years of data from Östergarnsholm in the Baltic Sea are used to analyse offshore low-level clouds (LLCs) influenced by low-level jets (LLJs) in the marine atmospheric boundary layer. The LLJs are passages of strong horizontal winds near the surface and are measured using a Doppler LiDAR, which provides information about the wind speed and wind direction up to 300 meters. 25. Overcoming Inter-carrier-interference in OFDM System
University essay from Linköpings universitet/KommunikationssystemAbstract : This master thesis aims for Inter-carrier interference (ICI) mitigation in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system by considering designs of frequency domain cyclic extension(FDCE) and optimal windowing pulse shape. Although OFDM system has been put forward in the 1970s, it has just emerged in 4G. READ MORE
