  1. 1. Optimization and Characterization of Luminescent Materials for the ESS Proton Beam Imaging System

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Centrum för analys och syntes

    Author : Emelie Wiklund; Anton Järild; [2021]
    Keywords : Chemical Engineering; Luminescent materials; Cr-doped Alumina; Proton Beam Imaging System; ESS; Chemistry; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : Spallation sources such as European Spallation Source (ESS) produces neutrons by bombarding high-energy protons onto the target wheel. To determine the location of the proton beam a Proton Beam Imaging (PBI) system will be installed. READ MORE

  2. 2. Sensor concepts for Industry 4.0

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Industriell Produktion

    Author : Daniel Le; [2021]
    Keywords : Fluorescence; alumina; ruby; piezo-spectroscopic effect; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : The next industrial revolution has been denoted by Industry 4.0 and is the continuation of the process of knowledge acquisition and further control over the entire production process which has been evolving since the beginning of the industrialization. A paramount driver of Industry 4.0 is the smart sensor. READ MORE

  3. 3. Anti-doping policy: : A comparative study of implementation in Iceland and Denmark

    University essay from Malmö universitet/Institutionen Idrottsvetenskap (IDV)

    Author : Torgils Gunnarsson; [2021]
    Keywords : Anti-doping; Anti-doping policy; The Code; Governance; Good Governance; Power; Interconnections;

    Abstract : This study investigates the differences and similarities in implementation of anti-doping policy in Denmark and Iceland. Various anti-doping themes has been chosen to dig deeper into the implementation on policies between the two countries which are related to: Economy, Education, Testing and Investigation, International Cooperation, Fitness and Public Health and Research and Development. 4. 4. Gap properties of helical edge states in two-dimensional topological insulators with time-dependent magnetic impurities

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Fasta tillståndets fysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Author : Simon Wozny; [2020]
    Keywords : topological insulators; edge states; impurities; density of states; Green s function; Floquet; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : The quantum mechanical equivalent of the classical Hall effect can lead to interesting results in solid state physics. A similar effect, that has received attention in recent years, occurs when large spin-orbit coupling is present in a material, the so-called quantum-spin Hall effect. READ MORE

  5. 5. Electrical analysis of interface recombination of thin-film CIGS solar cells

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för fysik och astronomi

    Author : Henrik Lotse; [2020]
    Keywords : interface recombination; SCAPS; activation energy; temperature dependent IV; dominant recombination path;

    Abstract : In this master thesis, electrical characterization of thin film CuInxGa(1−x)Se2 solar cells produced by Midsummer AB were performed with the aim of determining the dominant recombination path of these cells. Current-Voltage (IV), Quantum Effinciency (QE), temperature dependent IV (IVT) and Drive-Level Capacitance Profiling (DLCP) was used with the objective to investigate the dominant recombination path as well as provide some insight of the solar cells in order to create a baseline model using the modelling software SCAPS (Solar cell CAPacitance Simulator).
