  1. 1. Context-aware security testing of Android applications : Detecting exploitable vulnerabilities through Android model-based security testing

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Ivan Baheux; [2023]
    Keywords : Android Application Security; Vulnerability Detection; Context-Awareness; Model-Based Security Testing; Domain Specific Language; Sécurité des Applications Android; Détection de Vulnérabilités; Sensibilité au Contexte; Tests de Sécurité Basés sur les Modèles; Langage Dédiés; Android-applikationssäkerhet; Upptäckt av sårbarheter; Kontextmedvetenhet; Modellbaserad säkerhetstestning; Domänspecifikt språk;

    Abstract : This master’s thesis explores ways to uncover and exploit vulnerabilities in Android applications by introducing a novel approach to security testing. The research question focuses on discovering an effective method for detecting vulnerabilities related to the context of an application. READ MORE

  2. 2. Spectromorphological Reductions : Exploring and developing approaches for sound-based notation of live electronics

    University essay from Luleå tekniska universitet/Musik, medier och teater

    Author : Hans Lennart Jonsäll; [2023]
    Keywords : live electronics; electronic music; electroacoustic music; notation; spectromorphology; typo-morphology; Sound Notation; digital musical instruments.;

    Abstract : In this master’s thesis, a sound-based notation system is explored and developed in the composition and performance of a musical work for live electronics. My approach builds on existing systems for electroacoustic music analysis, most notably Dennis Smalley’s (1997) theory of spectromorphology and the symbolic language of Lasse Thoresen & Andreas Hedman (2007) based on Pierre Schaeffer’s typo-morphology, as well as Mattias Sköld’s (2023) adaptation of this system for composition and transcription (Sound Notation). 3. 3. Sublimation temperature prediction of OLED materials : using machine learning

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Analys och partiella differentialekvationer

    Author : Niklas Norinder; [2023]
    Keywords : Semiconductors; OLED; machine learning; vapor deposition; sublimation; molecular property prediction; regression; ensemble learning; deep learning;

    Abstract : Organic light-emitting diodes (OLED) are and have been the future of display technology for a minute. Looking back, display technology has moved from cathode-ray tube displays (CRTs) to liquid crystal displays (LCDs). Whereas CRT displays were clunky and had quite high powerconsumption, LCDs were thinner, lighter and consumed less energy. READ MORE

  4. 4. Combining Cross-Validation and Ensemble Creation for Artificial Neural Networks

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Beräkningsbiologi och biologisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisation

    Author : Anna Lena Hölldobler; [2022]
    Keywords : Artificial Neural Networks; Cross-Validation; Ensemble Creation; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : Artificial neural networks (ANNs) are widely used nowadays, and the research into improving their performances is continually ongoing. One main goal of ANNs is to have a high generalization performance, which can be estimated through validation. READ MORE

  5. 5. Automatic Change Detection in Visual Scenes

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Morgan Brolin; [2021]
    Keywords : Master thesis. Image retrieval; Image registration; Image change detection; Panorama creation; CNN; VGG16; Computer vision; Machine learning; Ensemble learning.; Master examensarbete; Image retrieval; Image registration; Image change detection; Panorama creation; CNN; VGG16; Computer vision; Machine learning; Ensemble learning.;

    Abstract : This thesis proposes a Visual Scene Change Detector(VSCD) system which is a system which involves four parts, image retrieval, image registration, image change detection and panorama creation. Two prestudies are conducted in order to find a proposed image registration method and a image retrieval method. READ MORE
