  1. 1. Modelling of gene regulatory and spatial mechanisms which pattern the early human neural tube

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Beräkningsbiologi och biologisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisation

    Author : Fredrik Bertilsson; [2022]
    Keywords : Biophysics; systems biology; gene regulatory networks; neural tube; isthmic organizer; midbrain-hindbrain boundary; WNT; FGF; morphogens; reaction-diffusion; finite-difference; 3D modelling; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : Tissue patterning during development is thought to be driven largely by gene regulatory responses to spatial gradients of molecular signals, known as morphogens. In this thesis, early patterning of the human neural tube is studied using two different gene regulatory network models. READ MORE

  2. 2. Design of Multilayer Dielectric Mirrors Optimized for Femtosecond Laser Pulses

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Atomfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Author : Fredrik Bertilsson; [2015]
    Keywords : Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : A general method for modelling reflection in a multilayer structure is developed. This is used to simulate how a Gaussian Ti:sapphire femtosecond pulse reflects off of a periodic SiO2/TiO2 dielectric stack at normal incidence. The method is based on a transfer matrix approach combined with the fast Fourier transform in MATLAB. READ MORE

  3. 3. Future Payment Solutions in Sweden – Critical Success Factors and Scenarios from a Stakeholder Perspective

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Produktionsekonomi

    Author : Carl Bertilsson; Fredrik Hult; [2013]
    Keywords : Mobile Payments; Proximity Payments; Remote Payments; Contactless Mobile Payments; NFC; QR; Mobile Payment Standards; Digital Payment Value Chain; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : Mobile payments have become an increasingly hot topic due to the wide availability of smartphones and mobile internet on the Swedish market. Banks have historically enjoyed a monopoly position in payments, but have recently seen new entrants contending for a share of the market as payments go mobile. READ MORE
