  1. 16. Time-resolved x-ray diffraction study of longitudinal optical phonons in zincblende semiconductors

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Atomfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Author : Lassi Linnala; [2022]
    Keywords : femtosecond THz radiation; ultrafast x-ray diffraction; pump-probe; longitudinal optical phonons; zincblende semiconductors; anharmonic decay; density functional perturbation theory; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : Anharmonic decay of longitudinal optical (LO) phonons in zincblende semiconductors is not at present well characterized due to the polar and many-body nature of the problem. Femtosecond THz radiation offers a novel route to this study, as the interaction of this radiation is directly with the phonon lattice and these THz excited phonons do not have enough energy to excite electrons over the band gap. 2. 17. Determining the Acoustic Mobility of Breast Cancer Cells

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Biomedicinsk teknik

    Author : Simon Olsson; [2022]
    Keywords : Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : Breast cancer is one of the most common forms of cancer detected in women. Its heterogeneity and large mutational landscape requires treatment strategies which varies between patients. Triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) is a particularly aggressive subtype which 12-17 \% of breast cancer patient develop. READ MORE

  3. 18. Combining Register Data and X-Ray Images for a Precision Medicine Prediction Model of Thigh Bone Fractures

    University essay from Linköpings universitet/Institutionen för medicinsk teknik

    Author : Alva Nilsson; Oliver Andlid; [2022]
    Keywords : AI; Machine Learning; Fusion; Classification; X-Ray Images; Register Data; EHR; Femoral Fractures; AFF; NFF; Transfer Learning;

    Abstract : The purpose of this master thesis was to investigate if using both X-ray images and patient's register data could increase the performance of a neural network in discrimination of two types of fractures in the thigh bone, called atypical femoral fractures (AFF) and normal femoral fractures (NFF). We also examined and evaluated how the fusion of the two data types could be done and how different types of fusion affect the performance. READ MORE

  4. 19. En kartläggning av kännedom och kunskap gällande allergener på pizzerior i Kristianstads kommun

    University essay from SLU/Department of Molecular Sciences

    Author : Ali Fakhro; [2022]
    Keywords : Allergener; matallergi; pizzeria; Kristianstad; rutiner;

    Abstract : Allergener är ämnen som orsakar matallergi, även kallat födoämnesallergi. Denna typ av allergi kan orsaka allvarliga symptom, varav det allvarligaste är anafylaktisk chock som kan leda till allvarliga konsekvenser. Det finns lagstiftning som klargör hur informationen till konsumenterna ska se ut. READ MORE

  5. 20. Surviving ratio of milk microflora during storage at freezing temperature : a pilot study

    University essay from SLU/Department of Molecular Sciences

    Author : Louise Gustafsson; [2022]
    Keywords : Raw cow´s milk; raw milk quality; milk microflora; culturing methods; MALDI-TOF MS; cold storage of milk;

    Abstract : Milk contains beneficial and non-beneficial bacteria which contribute with different outcomes to milk and dairy products. Beneficial bacteria are important during manufacturing while non-beneficial bacteria cause spoilage, food related outbreaks but also economical losses for the dairy industry. READ MORE
