  1. 1. Virtual Test Cell : a Real-Time digital twin of an internal combustion engine

    University essay from Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för teknikvetenskap och matematik

    Author : Rasmus Malmqvist; [2024]
    Keywords : Virtual Test cell; Digital twin; Software in the loop; Real-time;

    Abstract : As the world is evolving faster and technology gets cheaper and more powerful, simulations are proving to be more and more beneficial. Simulations allow for faster development with less lead time between iterations which means that product versions can be released more often and at less cost. READ MORE

  2. 2. Semantic and Physical Modeling and Simulation of Multi-Domain Energy Systems: Gas Turbines and Electrical Power Networks

    University essay from KTH/Elkraftteknik

    Author : Miguel Aguilera; [2017]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : The ITEA3 OpenCPS (Open Cyber-Physical System Model-Driven CertifiedDevelopment) project focuses on interoperability between the Modelica/UnifiedModeling Language (UML)/Functional Mock-up Interface (FMI) standards, improved(co-)simulation execution speed, and verified code generation. The project aims to developa modeling and simulation framework for cyber-physical and multi-domain systems. READ MORE

  3. 3. Initialization Algorithms for Coupled Dynamic Systems

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Matematik LTH

    Author : Labinot Polisi; [2017]
    Keywords : Functional Mock-up Interface; FMI; Co-Simulation; Coupled Systems; Parallel Computations; PyFMI; Mathematics and Statistics;

    Abstract : In this master thesis the consistent initialization problem is studied and three different algorithms were developed regarding the subject area - a graph algorithm used for solving the initialization problem, a parallel algorithm to enable parallel computations when solving the initialization problem and lastly a genetic algorithm used as a preprocessing stage for parallelization. The thesis is based on the Python package PyFMI, a high-level package developed by Modelon AB for working with models compliant with the FMI standard. READ MORE

  4. 4. Model-based design of industrial automation solutions using FMI

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Institutionen för reglerteknik

    Author : Charlie Erwall; Oscar Mårtensson; [2016]
    Keywords : Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : This thesis defined and investigated a general workflow based on model-based design using the Functional Mock-up Interface (FMI), involving Hardware-in-the- Loop (HiL) simulation. The thesis was a direct continuation of Sara Gunnarsson’s master’s thesis "Evaluation of FMI-based Workflow for Simulation and Testing of Industrial Automation Applications", where a Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) simulation of the B&R Reaction Wheel Pendulum was conducted in Automation Studio using a model imported with FMI. 5. 5. Evaluation of FMI-based workflow for simulation and testing of industrial automation applications

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Institutionen för reglerteknik

    Author : Sara Gunnarsson; [2016]
    Keywords : Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : The Modelica language is an object-oriented, equation-based language used for modeling and design in many different domains and for various physical applications. In order to exchange models both between Modelicabased tools and other tools the Functional Mock-up Interface (FMI) has emerged. READ MORE
