1. Magnetic Mineralogy of Nb-bearing Carbonatites from Oldoinyo Dili (Tanzania)
University essay from Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaperAbstract : Niobium (Nb) and Rare Earth Elements (REE’s) have in recent years received considerable attention because of their importance to the modern technical industry, and more specifically the enhanced sustainability that comes with them. The main source for Nb and REE’s on Earth are carbonatites and associated alkaline silicate rocks. READ MORE

2. Investigation of Cu and Zn interactions with ilmenite during waste incineration
University essay fromAbstract : In 2018, approximately 2.01 billion tons of waste was generated in the world. By 2050, this number is expected to increase drastically to 3.40 billion tons of waste annually as lower income countries develop and the world population increases (Kaz, Yao, BhadaTata, & Van-Woerden, 2018). 3. Major and trace element geochemical analysis of norites in the Hakefjorden Complex to constrain magma source and magma plumbing systems
University essay from Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionenAbstract : Major and trace element data taken from plagioclase crystals from anorthosites and related rock units in the Hakefjorden Complex located off the west coast of Sweden were investigated for the purposes of constraining magma chamber processes and the source of the magma. Although the anorthosite units were completely homogenous in regards to its chemistry, the plagioclase in the associated norite and ilmenite-leuconorite units showed substantial variation. READ MORE

4. Investigation of the combustion behavior in a fluidized reactor with oxygen carriers as bed material
University essay from KTH/Energi- och ugnsteknikAbstract : The behavior of using oxygen carriers as bed material in a fluidized bed combustion was investigated in this work when methane, air and carbon monoxide, air are used as fluidizing gases. More specifically, conversion rate, unsteadiness and gas composition was investigated and it was found that the conversion rate of carbon monoxide and methane are higher when oxygen carriers are used as bed material compared to silica sand and that the highest conversion rate was for oxygen carriers with high oxygen transport capacity and high reactivity towards the gaseous fuel. 5. Using Fe-Ti oxides and trace element analysis to determine crystallization sequence of an anorthosite-norite intrusion, Älgön SW Sweden.
READ MORE
