    Abstract : This thesis studies the effect of using delta encoding to compress archivesof images. The results are compared with two types of lossless PNGcompression. The tests show that the most sophisticated PNG methodtested compresses the archives around 2-12% higher than the delta encodingmethods, but at the cost of taking more than 10 times as long. READ MORE
