    Abstract : The aim of this thesis is to discuss the issue of labour migration from the new member states of the European Union to the old after the enlargement. As the old member states have imposed restrictions towards the new members concerning one of the main rights of the EU citizens - the freedom to move freely and work in another member state - this thesis will use both theoretical and empirical data to study the necessity of these restrictions.
