  1. 11. Fatigue analysis of laser welded hairpins in electric car motors

    University essay from Högskolan i Skövde/Institutionen för ingenjörsvetenskap

    Author : Francisco Martín Ruiz; Imanol Iribar Rodriguez; [2022]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Hairpins are copper filaments used in the windings in the stators of electric motors in modern times. For the motor to work, they have to be welded in pairs, normally with laser welding. Studying the fatigue response of the joint of hairpins welded with a set of values of laser welding process parameters is the main objective of this project. READ MORE

  2. 12. A method for developing stress-strain relationships using Nanoindentations

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Industriell Produktion

    Author : Ludvig Lindsjö; Fanny Linander; [2021]
    Keywords : Nanoindentation; Material Science; Steel; Solid Mechanics; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : This thesis is a material science research collaboration between the Division ofProduction and Materials Engineering at Lund Faculty of Engineering and theComputer-Aided Engineerings group at BorgWarner, Landskrona. The objectiveof the thesis is to explore the convertion of nanoindentation load-depth curves intotensile stress-strain curves, and to provide BorgWarner Landskrona with nanoin-dentation data on materials used in their standard production. 3. 13. Demand Side Management : how has residential electricity demand changed during the corona pandemic?

    University essay from KTH/Energiteknik

    Author : Fredrik Hansell; Axel Vällfors; [2021]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Restrictive social distancing measures imposed by governments across the world to prevent the spread of COVID-19 have led to immediate changes in general behaviour and habits, which has had major effects on electricity systems. The pandemic has highlighted the great importance of reliable electricity supply in society as many people were forced to start working from home and thus became entirely reliant on digital modes of communication and information sharing. 4. 14. Model on degradation of PEM fuel cells in marine applications

    University essay from KTH/Kemiteknik

    Author : Erik Östling; [2021]
    Keywords : Proton exchange membrane fuel cell PEMFC ; marine applications; durability; lifetime prediction; empirical model; PEM bränsleceller; marina tillämpningar; hållbarhet; livslängdsberäkning; empirisk modell;

    Abstract : Sjöfarten står för 3 % av världens totala växthusgaser och är idag högst beroende av fossila bränslen. Ett alternativ för att gå över till en fossilfri flotta är användning av bränsleceller och vätgas som drivmedel. READ MORE

  5. 15. SUSTAINABLE LUBRICATION FOR FUTURE TRANSMISSIONS : Micropitting performance of Glycerol-based lubricants

    University essay from Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för teknikvetenskap och matematik

    Author : Zapata Tamayo Juan Guillermo; [2021]
    Keywords : micropitting; mild sliding wear; surface coating; diamond-like carbon DLC; glycerol-based lubrication; green lubricant; rolling contact fatigue; rolling-sliding;

    Abstract : Achieving sustainable lubrication by using environmentally friendly formulated lubricants has became an essential component of the transition process from fossil-powered vehicles to electrified transportation. Mixtures, or aqueous solutions of molecules such as polyhydroxy alcohols, and glycols usually known as green lubricants make it possible to achieve low friction coefficients under different lubrication conditions, which constitutes a potential alternative to improve the tribological performance of moving parts in automotive systems, at the same time that the environmental requirements are satisfied.
