  1. 1. Portfolio Optimization Problems with Cardinality Constraints

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för teknikvetenskap (SCI)

    Author : Abolgasem Esmaeily; Felix Loge; [2023]
    Keywords : Portfolio Optimization; Modern Portfolio Theory MPT • Mixed Integer Programming MIP ; Efficient Frontier; Cardinality Constraints; Daily Returns; Expected Returns; Asset Allocation; Diversification;

    Abstract : This thesis analyzes the mean variance optimization problem with respect to cardinalityconstraints. The aim of this thesis is to figure out how much of an impact transactionchanges has on the profit and risk of a portfolio. We solve the problem by implementingmixed integer programming (MIP) and solving the problem by using the Gurobi solver. READ MORE

  2. 2. Vårdprogram och underhållsplan för den historiska trädgården vid soldattorpet Rensmyran

    University essay from SLU/Dept. of Urban and Rural Development

    Author : Marita Bergström; [2020]
    Keywords : soldattorp; vårdprogram; underhållsplan; historisk trädgård; kulturmiljö;

    Abstract : Soldattorpet Rensmyran med anor från sent 1600-tal är beläget på landsbygden sydväst om Uppsala. Torpet Rensmyran drivs som fritidsjordbruk med en liten uppfödning av hästrasen Gotlandsruss. På hag- och åkermark förekommer bete. READ MORE

  3. 3. Calibration and Validation of Efficient Combustion and EmissionModels for 3D-CFD EngineSimulations

    University essay from Linköpings universitet/Mekanisk värmeteori och strömningslära

    Author : Vikas Shettihalli Anandreddy; [2019]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : To accurately analyze combustion and emissions in the internal combustion engine, hundreds of chemical species have to be transported in the computational domain in the form of a detailed chemical mechanism. The use of this detailed chemical mechanism in the computational domain leads to an increase in computational time. READ MORE

  4. 4. Development of an improved mixing model for an SRM code

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Matematisk statistik

    Author : Henrik Gustafsson; [2013]
    Keywords : Mathematics and Statistics;

    Abstract : Consider two gases being pumped into a container of some sort. How will they mix? How will they interact with one another? And how do you model the mixing using a computer? One way is to rst divide the two gases into smaller groups called particles and then let these particles interact with one another at random. READ MORE

  5. 5. Development and Validation of a Turbulent Flame Propagation Model

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Author : Simon Bjerkborn; [2011]
    Keywords : Combustion physics; flame propagation; engine simulations; SI engines; Bjerkborn; Simon Bjerkborn; Loge AB; Loge; SRM; Stochastic Reactor Model; Monte Carlo; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : The aim of this thesis was to develop a model for flame propagation, to implement in a zero-dimensional engine simulation tool (DARS 0d-SRM) which previously only used fitted Wiebe-functions to describe the flame propagation. The idea was to create a model which could replace or complement the Wiebe function, but with predictive capabilities, avoiding the need to perform curve-fitting when certain parameters are changed.
