   Abstract : A hypertest-algorithm, the BUMPHUNTER, is introduced briefly and tested by probing events containing muons in 8 TeV datasets from the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN against a background spectrum created by selecting muons from different collisions.
