University essay from Kemiska institutionenAbstract : In this thesis it was shown that Isoallopregnanolone can be synthesized from Allopregnanolone by the Mitsunobu reaction as well as by oxidation with o-iodoxybenzoic acid (IBX) with subsequent reduction with NaBH 4.
