  1. 1. Dynamic analyses of hollow core slabs : Experimental and numerical analyses of an existing floor

    University essay from KTH/Bro- och stålbyggnad

    Author : Markus Hansell; Panagiotis Tamtakos; [2020]
    Keywords : Hollow core slab; Structural dynamics; Signal analysis; Mode shape; Frequency response function; Complex mode; FE-model; Håldäcksbjälklag; Strukturdynamik; Signalanalys; Modform; Frekvenssvar; Komplex mod; FE-modellering.;

    Abstract : For intermediate floors in residential and office buildings, as well as in parking garages and malls, there is a wide use of hollow core concrete slabs in Sweden today. Hollow core slabs are precast and prestressed concrete elements with cylindrical-shaped voids extending along the length of the slab. READ MORE

  2. 2. Dynamic Analysis of an Automotive Power Transfer unit : Towards prediction of TE and housing vibrations

    University essay from KTH/Maskinkonstruktion (Avd.)

    Author : Nikhil Maharshi Kosaraju; [2019]
    Keywords : Power transfer unit PTU ; Multi-Body Simulation MBS ; Transmission Error; Gear NoiseVibration; Modal Analysis; Vinkelväxlen PTU ; Multi-Body Simulering MBS ; transmissionsfel TE ; Växelljud och vibrationer; Modal analys;

    Abstract : This work describes the use of Multi-Body Simulation (MBS) to create a virtual prototype of a geared drive called Power transfer unit (PTU). PTU is a subsystem of the all-wheel drive driveline responsible for transfer of power between front and rear axles in an Automobile. READ MORE

  3. 3. Numerical analysis of aerodynamic damping in a transonic compressor

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Author : Vincenzo Stasolla; [2019]
    Keywords : transonic compressor; flutter; vibration; CFD; transonic kompressor; fladder; vibration; CFD;

    Abstract : Aeromechanics is one of the main limitations for more efficient, lighter, cheaper and reliable turbomachines, such as steam or gas turbines, as well as compressors and fans. In fact, aircraft engines designed in the last few years feature more slender, thinner and more highly loaded blades, but this trend gives rise to increased sensitivity for vibrations induced by the fluid and result in increasing challenges regarding structural integrity of the engine.
