    Abstract : This study aims to to evaluate whether firm performance is impacted by countries' choice of lockdown policy and the number of reported COVID-19 cases. We design a quantitative study using the instrumental variable (IV) approach to examine the relationship between lockdown measures and number of reported COVID-19 cases and the subsequent impact on firm performance, in a European setting.
