  1. 1. Rotor temperature estimation in Induction Motors with Supervised Machine Learning

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Christopher Gauffin; [2023]
    Keywords : Induction motors; Supervised Machine learning; Power converters; Parameter estimation; Embedded systems; Induktionsmotorer; Övervakad maskininlärning; Strömkonverterare; Parameterestimering; Inbyggda system;

    Abstract : The electrification of the automotive industry and artificial intelligence are both growing rapidly and can be greatly beneficial for a more sustainable future when combined. Induction machines exhibit many complex relationships between physical and electromagnetic properties that must be calculated in order to produce the correct quantities of torque and speed commanded by the driver. 2. 2. Sensor fusion and fault diagnosticsin non-linear dynamical systems.

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Avdelningen för systemteknik

    Author : Albin Nilsson; [2020]
    Keywords : Fault detection and isolation; FDI; sensor fusion; nonlinear; four wheel drive; vehicle; kinematics; kalman filter; KF; EKF; parity relations;

    Abstract : Sensors are highly essential components in most modern control systems and are used in increasingly complex ways to improve system precision and reliability. Since they are generally susceptible to faults it is common to perform on-line fault diagnostics on sensor data to verify nominal behavior. READ MORE

  3. 3. Assessment of image quality in x-ray fluoroscopy based on Model observers as an objective measure for quality control and image optimization

    University essay from Stockholms universitet/Fysikum

    Author : Henrik Elgström; [2018]
    Keywords : image quality; fluoroscopy; Model observer;

    Abstract : BACKGROUND: Although the Image Quality (IQ) indices calculated by objective Model observers contains more favourable characteristics compared to Figure Of Merits (FOM) derived from the more common subjective evaluations of modern digital diagnostic fluoroscopy units, like CDRAD or the Leeds test-objects, practical issues in form of limited access to unprocessed raw data and intricate laboratory measurements have made the conventional computational methods too inefficient and laborious. One approach of the Statistical Decision Variables (CDV) analysis, made available in the FluoroQuality software, overcome these limitations by calculating the SNR2rate from information entirely based on image frames directly obtained from the imaging system, operating in its usual clinical mode. 4. 4. Non-Linear Automatic Control of Autonomous Lawn Mower

    University essay from Linköpings universitet/Reglerteknik

    Author : Hannah Dysenius; [2016]
    Keywords : autonomous lawn mower; non-linear automatic control;

    Abstract : This master thesis contains modeling and nonlinear automatic control of an autonomous lawn mower. The vehicle shall be able to follow a magnetic field loop buried in the lawn on an arbitrary distance, including straddling. A unicycle model of the lawn mower has been derived based on previous work. READ MORE

  5. 5. Modelling and Simulation of a Resonant Converter

    University essay from Blekinge Tekniska Högskola/Institutionen för tillämpad signalbehandling

    Author : Srinivasa Kranthi Kiran Kolachina; Nishu Reddy; [2014]
    Keywords : Modelling; Hamiltonian Observer; Switching Modes;

    Abstract : This thesis is a part of collaborated project between Alstom and Blekinge Institute of Technology. In this thesis a fifth order non- linear Hamilton observer is applied on a series resonant converter. READ MORE
