  1. 1. Predictive Model for Traffic Control in Underground Mines

    University essay from Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för system- och rymdteknik

    Author : Claes Andersson; [2019]
    Keywords : underground; mine; tunnel; traffic; control; management; collision avoidance; single track; velocity; prediction; distribution;

    Abstract : Due to the nature of tunnels, a driver in an underground mine may find themselves driving without much vision of the road up ahead. The tunnels usually allow for traffic in both directions but are often only wide enough for a single vehicle. READ MORE

  2. 2. Scheduling Drivers for a Delivery Company by a Two-Stage Stochastic Programming Approach

    University essay from KTH/Optimeringslära och systemteori

    Author : Petra Hesselmar; [2017]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : In this thesis a study of scheduling drivers for a food-delivery company has been done. Historic data has been used to generate scenarios. Those scenarios are used in a two-stage stochastic optimization model. The first stage costs consists of the cost for scheduling a driver to a shift. READ MORE

  3. 3. Increasing energy efficiency and instruction scheduling by software prefetching

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för informationsteknologi

    Author : Alexander Fougner; [2016]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : With the increasing problems related to semiconductor process node shrinkage and the expansion of the mobile devices market, the requirements for energy efficiency are continuously constrained. Alternative methods such as Decoupled Access/Execute adapts software to better fit dynamic voltage and frequency scaling. READ MORE

  4. 4. Scheduling Strategies for Relay of Mars Rover Data via Mars Orbiter and Earth Stations

    University essay from Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för system- och rymdteknik

    Author : Jendrik Jördening; [2016]
    Keywords : Mars Relay Network; ExoMars; Pass Scheduling; ExoMars 2020; ExoMars; RSP;

    Abstract : In this thesis, the relay communication between landed assets on the surface of Mars via a relay orbiter to Earth is studied for its latencies and the times which can be provided for the landed asset to work and for the ground to plan depending on the operational margins, the available ground station network and the available relay orbiters. In this context, an automated solver is developed to evaluate a locally optimal strategy of relay pass assignment respecting the different constraints and is proven to provide a solution close to the globally optimal one. 5. 5. Automated booking and scheduling for CubeSats : Development of an automated Scheduling engine for satellite communication with emphasis on communication with CubeSats

    University essay from KTH/Rymd- och plasmafysik

    Author : Alexander Hemberg; [2015]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : This thesis work details the development of an automatic scheduling engine for satellite communication from the operational stand point of a ground station. The aim has been to create a scheduling engine that autonomously calculates passes for a large number of satellites over a ground station and assigns these passes to appropriate resources. READ MORE
