  1. 1. Autonomous Patient Monitoring in the Intermediate Care Unit by Live Video Analysis

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för kemi, bioteknologi och hälsa (CBH)

    Author : Benjamin Jefford-Baker; [2022]
    Keywords : Patient Monitoring; Video Action Recognition; Real-time Prediction; Patientövervakning; Videohandlingsigenkänning; Realtidsprediktion;

    Abstract : Patients admitted to intermediate care units require frequent monitoring by hospital personnel. An automatisation of this monitoring would save a considerable amount of resources and could also improve the quality of the treatment. READ MORE

  2. 2. Features as Indicators for Delirium : An Application on Single Wrist-Worn Accelerometer Data from Adult Intensive Care Unit Patients

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Hu Ya Ting; [2022]
    Keywords : Delirium; Accelerometry; Intensive Care Unit; Patient Monitoring; Delirium; Accelerometri; Intensivvårdsavdelning; Patientövervakning;

    Abstract : Objective: The diagnosis of delirium in intensive care unit patients is frequently missed. Key symptoms to identify delirium are motoric alterations, changes in activity level, and delirium-specific movements. This study aimed to explore features collected by a single wrist-worn accelerometer as indicators of delirium. READ MORE

  4. 4. Motion artifact reduction in PPG signals

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Biomedicinsk teknik

    Author : Jaqub Ghairat; Hassan Mouhsen; [2015]
    Keywords : Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : The aim of this thesis was to investigate methods for artifact removal in PPG signals and to implement and evaluate a few existing algorithms claiming that the amplitude information is recovered when removing motion artifacts from photoplethysmographic signals (PPG) captured from pulse oximeters. We developed a new proposed method that uses a two-stage based approach with singular value decomposition and fixed fast ICA algorithm in order to generate a PPG-correlated reference signal that is used in adaptive noise cancellation.
