  1. 1. Analysis and Definition of the BAT-ME (BATonomous Moon cave Explorer) Mission

    University essay from KTH/Rymdteknik

    Author : Alexandru Camil Muresan; [2019]
    Keywords : Manned Moon Outpost; Astronauts; Inkonova AB; Batonomous; Autonomous Vehicle; Machine Self Awareness; Space Development; LIDAR; SLAM; Scanner; Point-cloud;

    Abstract : Humanity has always wanted to explore the world we live in and answer different questions about our universe. After the International Space Station will end its service one possible next step could be a Moon Outpost: a convenient location for research, astronaut training and technological development that would enable long-duration space. 2. 2. Aircraft to Aircraft Connectivity Analysis

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Vasileios Megas; [2018]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : It is very common to feel the need to be connected, especially in cases where we are idle, such as in airplanes. Aircraft connectivity has already been implemented by using direct air-to-ground communication and satellite communication. READ MORE

  3. 3. Scheduling Strategies for Relay of Mars Rover Data via Mars Orbiter and Earth Stations

    University essay from Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för system- och rymdteknik

    Author : Jendrik Jördening; [2016]
    Keywords : Mars Relay Network; ExoMars; Pass Scheduling; ExoMars 2020; ExoMars; RSP;

    Abstract : In this thesis, the relay communication between landed assets on the surface of Mars via a relay orbiter to Earth is studied for its latencies and the times which can be provided for the landed asset to work and for the ground to plan depending on the operational margins, the available ground station network and the available relay orbiters. In this context, an automated solver is developed to evaluate a locally optimal strategy of relay pass assignment respecting the different constraints and is proven to provide a solution close to the globally optimal one. 4. 4. Traffic-Aware Base Station Sleeping Control with Cooperation for Energy-Delay Tradeoffs in Multi-cell Cellular Network

    University essay from KTH/Kommunikationsteori

    Author : Jia Wang; [2015]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : From an energy eciency viewpoint of improving the cellular access networks, the power consumption of the whole system needs to be tracked. In this project, a theoretical model is studied which jointly encompasses sleep control strategy and Base Station (BS) cooperation polices, our goal is to obtain a Pareto Op- timal tradeo between energy consumption and average delay time.
