  1. 1. Activity quantification of 177Lu using a 360◦ CZT gamma camera - comparison with a dual-head Anger camera

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Sjukhusfysikerutbildningen

    Author : Albin Lindvall; [2023]
    Keywords : Medicine and Health Sciences;

    Abstract : Background and Aim: New SPECT cameras that use CZT detectors in a 360◦ configuration has recently been introduced. Together with Bayesian reconstruction methods employing Median Root Prior (MRP) and Relative Difference Prior (RDP), this constitutes an alternative to Anger-based SPECT for activity quantification. 2. 2. Feasibility of quantitative 99mTc-DPD scintigraphy SPECT/CT for assessing the burden of ATTR cardiac amyloidosis

    University essay from Umeå universitet/Radiofysik

    Author : Sajad Kadhim Khalaf; [2023]
    Keywords : QSPECT; Amyloidosis; ATTR; LVMI; Recovery Coefficient; SUV; Calibration;

    Abstract : Background: Amyloid transthyretin (ATTR) cardiomyopathy is caused by the deposition of misfolded proteins, known as amyloid fibrils, in the myocardium. Quantitative Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (QSPECT) utilizing 99mTc-DPD scintigraphy has the potential to assess ATTR-suspected cardiac amyloidosis (CA). READ MORE

  3. 3. Establishment of a deep learning algorithm for dosimetry of radiopharmaceuticals

    University essay from

    Author : Dennis Lipnicevic; [2022-01-13]
    Keywords : Medical physics; automated segmentation; dosimetry; kidney; nuclear medicine dosimetry; deep learning; convolutional neural network;

    Abstract : Purpose: The aim of this study was to introduce a volumetric convolutional neural network for segmentation of the kidneys in SPECT images and to apply it in the dosimetry of radiopharmaceuticals of this organ, in order to decrease segmentation time and to standardize the segmentation of the kidneys. Method: Three networks were trained using two network architectures and a total of 216 retrospectively collected images from patients that underwent imaging procedures at Sahlgrenska University Hospital between 2009 and 2018. 4. 4. Feasibility of single time point dosimetry during 177Lu-PSMA-617 treatments of prostate cancer

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Sjukhusfysikerutbildningen

    Author : Elias Nilsson; [2022]
    Keywords : Medicine and Health Sciences;

    Abstract : Introduction: Standard dosimetry methods for radionuclide therapies re- quire imaging at multiple time points post injection. An alternative method has been presented in the literature that uses previously acquired pharma- cokinetic data to create so-called dose factors. READ MORE

  5. 5. Feasibility of Dynamic SPECT-Renography with Automated Evaluation Using a Deep Neural Network

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Sjukhusfysikerutbildningen

    Author : Viktor Rogowski; [2021]
    Keywords : Medicine and Health Sciences;

    Abstract : Introduction: Renography is a standard diagnostic examination that evaluates renal function, renal pelvic dilatation and urinary obstruction. Renography is performed by injecting a radiopharmaceutical (predominately 99mTc-MAG3) and using gamma camera to image the biodistribution in a dynamic sequence. READ MORE
