    Abstract : Introduction Prior to percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) guidelines recommend that patients with ST- elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) receive dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) consisting of P2Y12 inhibition and acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin).
