  1. 21. Multiple-Emitter Super-resolution Imaging using the Alternating Descent Conditional Gradient Method

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Beräkningsbiologi och biologisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisation; Lunds universitet/Institutionen för astronomi och teoretisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisation

    Author : Dolev Illouz; [2023]
    Keywords : super-resolution; alternating descent conditional gradient method; ADCG; multiple-emitter localization; nanoscale imaging; single molecule tracking; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : This thesis examines the state-of-the-art 2D super-resolution technique alternating descent conditional gradient (ADCG) method's ability to accurately localize fluorophores in diffraction-limited single molecule images (SMI) and analyze the impact of pre-processing and post-processing modules on ADCG's fluorophore localization. A synthetic dataset obtained from the 2013 Grand Challenge localization microscopy and a temporally linked dataset obtained from an unpublished set of Optical DNA mapping experiments performed by Jonathan Jeffet at the NanoBioPhotonix Lab at Tel-Aviv University were initially segmented to extract their noise parameters. 2. 22. Telemetry for Debugging Software Issues in Privacy-sensitive Systems

    University essay from Linköpings universitet/Institutionen för datavetenskap

    Author : Kasper Landgren; Payam Tavakoli; [2023]
    Keywords : telemetry; privacy; distributed tracing; debugging; privacy-sensitive system; tracing;

    Abstract : Traditionally, when debugging a software system, developers rely on having access to the input data that caused the error. However, with data privacy concerns on the rise, it is becoming increasingly challenging to rely on input data as it might be sensitive or even classified. READ MORE

  3. 23. Model-Based Definition as a Method for Efficient Digital Product Definition : A Study of Feasibility and Implementation Requirements

    University essay from KTH/Produktionsutveckling

    Author : Lena Sophie Winkler; [2023]
    Keywords : Model-Based Definition; MBD; digital product definition data practices; Product and Manufacturing Information; PMI;

    Abstract : Mechanical engineers have difficulties when attempting to convey three-dimensional product information in a two-dimensional style. Effective collaboration between various users requires capability to deliver standardized data in a digital format. READ MORE

  4. 24. Optimization of the Cloud-Native Infrastructure using Artificial Intelligence

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Animesh Singh; [2023]
    Keywords : Artificial Intelligence; Test Channel Build; Test Channel Scheduling; Artificiell intelligens; Byggning av testkanal; Schemaläggning av testkanal;

    Abstract : To test Cloud RAN applications, such as the virtual distributed unit (vDU) and centralized virtual unit (vCU), a test environment is required, commonly known as a “test bed” or “test channel”. This test bed comprises various cloudnative infrastructures, including different hardware and software components. READ MORE

  5. 25. A Conjugate Residual Solver with Kernel Fusion for massive MIMO Detection

    University essay from Högskolan i Halmstad/Centrum för forskning om tillämpade intelligenta system (CAISR)

    Author : Ioannis Broumas; [2023]
    Keywords : MIMO; massive MIMO; GPU; CUDA; Software Defined Radio; SDR; MMSE; ZF; zero-forcing; parallel detection; iterative methods; conjugate residual; parallel computing; kernel fusion;

    Abstract : This thesis presents a comparison of a GPU implementation of the Conjugate Residual method as a sequence of generic library kernels against implementations ofthe method with custom kernels to expose the performance gains of a keyoptimization strategy, kernel fusion, for memory-bound operations which is to makeefficient reuse of the processed data. For massive MIMO the iterative solver is to be employed at the linear detection stageto overcome the computational bottleneck of the matrix inversion required in theequalization process, which is 𝒪(𝑛3) for direct solvers.
