  1. 6. Chromatin accessibility analysis of spaceflight mouse brains using ArchR

    University essay from KTH/Genteknologi

    Author : Raphaël Mauron; [2023]
    Keywords : Single nuclei ATAC-sequencing; Space Biology; DNA Chromatin accessibility; Neurodegenerative; ArchR; ATAC-sekvensering av enskilda kärnor; rymdbiologi; tillgänglighet av DNA kromatin ; neurodegenerativa sjukdomar; ArchR;

    Abstract : Mänsklig utforskning av månen och Mars innebär stora utmaningar för människans fysiologi och hälsa på grund av de unika miljöfaktorer som följer av långvariga rymduppdrag. Rymdbiologiska experiment har blivit ett viktigt verktyg för att studera effekterna som mikrogravitation och rymdstrålning har på levande organismer, i syfte att förstå och minska dessa utmaningar. 2. 7. Improving network performance with a polarization-aware routing approach

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Jingyi Pan; [2023]
    Keywords : Traffic engineering; Hash function; Multipath routing; Trafikteknik; Hash-funktion; Flervägsdirigering;

    Abstract : Traffic polarization in networks refers to the phenomenon where traffic tends to concentrate along specific routes or edges when doing multipath routing, leading to imbalanced flow patterns. This spatial distribution of traffic can result in congested and overburdened links, while other routes remain underutilized. READ MORE

  3. 8. A City By No-One

    University essay from KTH/Arkitektur

    Author : Oscar Hultén; [2023]
    Keywords : urban environment interactivity algorithm;

    Abstract : This project is an exploration of methods for generating virtual urban environments, framed in an interactive first-person perspective allowing the user to navigate the architectural design space by walking through a city as it is being generated. The project is developed on a foundation of three primary concepts: 1) A spatial interpretation of parameter sets which are positioned in virtual space, 2) Distance-based interpolation of these parameter sets as a method to govern how the urban environments are generated at different points in space,3) The transformation and merging of basic square grids embedded in positioned parameter sets resulting in a composite grid which functions as the spatial framework of the urban environment. 4. 9. The power of daylight. Daylight influencing emotions and spatial perception of indoor space.

    University essay from KTH/Ljusdesign

    Author : Antrea Ioannou; [2023]
    Keywords : Daylight; Shadows; Spatial perception; Emotions; Memories;

    Abstract : The present thesis derived from a personal need to explore how daylight can shape the emotional state of users and consequently their indoor experience. As a lighting design student I appreciated even more the power that light and shadows have upon indoor experiences. To investigate this further, an experiment with five panels was conducted.
