  1. 1. Comparison of Modified Double Tray Method and 3D scanning i prosthodontics

    University essay from Umeå universitet/Institutionen för odontologi

    Author : Elsa Nermo; Eloïse Rousseau; [2023]
    Keywords : 3D scanning; modified double tray method.;

    Abstract : The purpose of this in vitro study was to investigate and to compare the precision of two different impression techniques for oral prosthetic construction, namely the analogue modified double tray method, and the digital three-dimensional scanning with Trios 3D shape intraoral scanner. The analog method used was a modified double tray method where the tray had been removed to diminish vertical discrepancies in occlusion. READ MORE

  2. 2. Post-Correction of time series forecasts

    University essay from Högskolan i Halmstad/Akademin för informationsteknologi

    Author : Arunas Kalinauskas; Dennis Slepov; [2023]
    Keywords : time series forecasting;

    Abstract : Time series forecasting is an important problem with various applications in different domains. Improving forecast performance has been the center of investigation in the last decades. Several pieces of research show that old statistical methods, such as ARIMA, are still state-of-the-art in many domains and applications. READ MORE

  3. 3. Optimising microfluidic preparation of lipid sponge phase nanoparticles for biomolecule encapsulation

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Kemiteknik (CI)

    Author : Owais Khalil; [2023]
    Keywords : Sponge phase; lipid nanoparticles; microfluidics; SAXS; cryo-TEM; DLS; chemical engineering; Chemistry;

    Abstract : Drug delivery with lipid nanoparticles, especially sponge phase lipid nanoparticles (LNP), has been well studied because of its ability for drug encapsulation and transferring the drug through the cell membrane. The sponge phase LNP formulation could be affected by the molecular structure of the lipid, the temperature, pH, dilution, the buffer, and the addition of a stabiliser. READ MORE

  4. 4. Micro-CT based finite element models for mechanical strength assessment of glass ceramic scaffolds obtained through the robocasting technique

    University essay from KTH/Hållfasthetslära

    Author : Gustav Thessén; [2022]
    Keywords : µ-CT modelling; phase-field method; bio-glass scaffolds; strength assessment; Mikrotomografi; μ-CT; fasfältsmetoden; bio-glas stödstrukturer; brottgräns;

    Abstract : In this thesis, micro computed tomography (μ−CT) scans of a bio-glass scaffold produced by the robocasting technique was used to create finite element method (FEM) models with the purpose of determining its mechanical strength. Prior to this, a Matlab script was used to create several simplified geometries of the scaffold in an effort to determine the importance of scaffold design parameters (such as the fiber compenetration between two adjacent printing planes) on the strength of the scaffold. 5. 5. Unsupervised Segmentation of Time Series Data

    University essay from Linköpings universitet/Statistik och maskininlärning

    Author : Martin Svensson; [2021]
    Keywords : Time series segmentation; Unsupervised segmentation;

    Abstract : In a modern vehicle system the amount of data generated are time series large enough for big data. Many of the time series contains interesting patterns, either densely populated or scarcely distributed over the data. READ MORE
