  1. 11. Transverse Momentum Spectra in pp collisions (\sqrt{s}\) = 7 TeV and \(\sqrt{s}\) = 13 TeV in ALICE

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Partikel- och kärnfysik

    Author : Andreas Stokkeland; [2023]
    Keywords : Multiplicity; Multiplicity classes; Soft interactions; Quark Gluon Plasma; QGP; transverse momentum; p_T; Chi-squared; fits; fit functions; Levy; Lévy; Exponential; BGBW; Boltzmann-Gibbs blast-wave; Fermi-Dirac; Bose-Einstein; Boltzmann; pion; kaon; proton; transverse momentum spectra; p_T spectra; surface velocity; Minimum Bias; MB; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : In this project particle production as a function of transverse momentum (\(p_{\rm T}\)) in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy (\(\sqrt{s}\)) of 7 TeV and 13 TeV has been studied. The transverse momentum is interesting to study since it reflects momentum created in the collision (before the collision, all momentum is in the beam - going in a longitudinal direction) and therefore gives information on the collision dynamics. 2. 12. Health care professionals’ experiences and views of sexual and reproductive health service provision to undocumented Roma women in Finland

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Socialmedicin och global hälsa

    Author : Kalina Georgieva Hristozova; [2023]
    Keywords : undocumented Roma women; sexual and reproductive health; sexual and reproductive health service provision; health professionals experiences; Medicine and Health Sciences;

    Abstract : Aim: This qualitative study explores the sexual and reproductive health service provision offered to undocumented Roma women migrating to Finland and traces the major challenges in this regard through the experiences, the perceptions, and the views of Finnish health professionals. Background: Sexual and reproductive health (SRH) of undocumented Roma women is of a particular concern since the lack of health insurance, their mobility, and disadvantaged educational, social, and economic level make them more vulnerable to health risks. 3. 13. Mobile and Mounting Solutions for a Multi-Camera Rig for Live Recordings of Open Heart Surgery

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Biomedicinsk teknik

    Author : Oliwer Ekdahl; Hugo Möllerstedt; [2023]
    Keywords : Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : At the Children’s Heart Center of Skåne University Hospital (BUS) there is an ongoing project with live recordings of open heart surgeries. These recordings will be used for educational purposes, for planning of future surgeries, as well as for evaluating the surgical procedures. READ MORE

  4. 14. Chip Management in Milling and Drilling of Ductile Cast Iron

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Industriell Produktion

    Author : Alexander Jönsson; Giacomo Aliboni; [2023]
    Keywords : Chip Carryover; Chip Management; Ductile Cast Iron; Chip Removal; Chip Asportation; Milling; Drilling; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : This paper presents a comprehensive cross-functional analysis of machining operations for ductile cast iron components in the automotive industry, focusing on the problem of chip carryover and its impact on downstream processes. The research aims to understand the role of machining and identify the source of the issue, by analyzing different machining sequences and the chips that affect the final product or subsequent production stages. 5. 15. FLOOD RESILIENCE 2.0 - Sustainable Urban Design Adaptation for Flood Resilience in Hamburg, Germany

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Institutionen för arkitektur och byggd miljö

    Author : Shenol Shahin Ahmed; [2023]
    Keywords : Arts and Architecture;

    Abstract : This thesis project is aimed to answer the questions: What could be done to design areas for making them flood resilient? How can sustainable urban design be adapted to provide flood resilience while transforming an area into a more livable space? Starting with these questions, the past of Hamburg and existing situation have been analyzed, a research has been done about the floods, climate change and how other cities develop their strategies to minimize effects of these issues. With a holistic way, information about the site in Hamburg has been gathered to find out the current problems like connection issues, lack of public realm, non-attractive river front and outdated flood defenses.
