  1. 1. Region Proposal Based Object Detectors Integrated With an Extended Kalman Filter for a Robust Detect-Tracking Algorithm

    University essay from Karlstads universitet/Fakulteten för hälsa, natur- och teknikvetenskap (from 2013)

    Author : Gabriel Khajo; [2019]
    Keywords : Object Detection; Extended Kalman Filter; Tracking;

    Abstract : In this thesis we present a detect-tracking algorithm (see figure 3.1) that combines the detection robustness of static region proposal based object detectors, like the faster region convolutional neural network (R-CNN) and the region-based fully convolutional networks (R-FCN) model, with the tracking prediction strength of extended Kalman filters, by using, what we have called, a translating and non-rigid user input region of interest (RoI-) mapping. 2. 2. Evaluation of Model-Based Design Using Rapid Control Prototyping on Forklifts

    University essay from Linköpings universitet/Reglerteknik; Linköpings universitet/Reglerteknik

    Author : Lovisa Jansson; Amanda Nilsson; [2019]
    Keywords : Rapid Control Prototyping; Model-Based Design; Forklift; Automatic control; Speedgoat; Model Predictive Control; MPC; P Controller; Models; Simulink; Matlab; Minimum Jerk Trajectory;

    Abstract : The purpose of this thesis is to evaluate Rapid Control Prototyping which is apart of the Model-Based Design concept that makes it possible to convenientlytest prototype control algorithms directly on the real system. The evaluation ishere done by designing two different controllers, a gain-scheduled P controllerand a linear Model Predictive Controller (mpc), for the lowering of the forks of aforklift. READ MORE

  3. 3. Fatigue Analysis of a Lively Footbridge

    University essay from KTH/Bro- och stålbyggnad

    Author : Kristi Bila; [2019]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : The commitment of building aesthetic bridges made of stiff materials results in theconstruction of slender structures highly susceptible to dynamic loading. In the caseof footbridges located over a highly trafficked highway, such dynamic loads maybe the aerodynamic pressure induced by the heavy trucks passing underneath thestructure and the pedestrian loading involving a pedestrian running and jumping. 4. 4. (RE)ASSEMBLING INTEGRATION : Swedish for Truck Drivers as a Context for Integrating

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för kulturantropologi och etnologi

    Author : Kayla Van Cleave; [2019]
    Keywords : integration; actor-network theory; driver-car; community of practice;

    Abstract : ‘Integration’ is often referred to in Swedish policy documents and analyzed by measures of effectivity and structural adjustment, assuming acculturation and essentialization of populations. This thesis explores how integration is practiced and defined within the context of professional adult education for newly arrived immigrants. READ MORE

  5. 5. Seating in Autonomous Trucks : Design of Driver Seating for Autonomous Long Haulage Trucks

    University essay from Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för ekonomi, teknik och samhälle; Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för ekonomi, teknik och samhälle

    Author : Amanda Wikberg; Therese Andersson; [2019]
    Keywords : Technical design; ergonomics; autonomous vehicles; truck; driver s seat; msc; interior; vehicles; future; product design; demand identification; user experience; Teknisk design; ergonomi; autonoma fordon; lastbil; civilingenjör; interiör; fordon; framtid; produktdesign; behovsidentifiering; användarupplevelse;

    Abstract : The biggest shift in the automotive industry lies ahead. Autonomous vehicles create both curiosity and skepticism among drivers and people around. Autonomous vehicles, more specifically trucks, will not be utterly self-driving overnight. The whole transformation will take place in different phases. READ MORE
