  1. 1. The cosmological polytope of the complete bipartite graph K_{2,n}

    University essay from KTH/Matematik (Avd.)

    Author : Erik Landin; [2023]
    Keywords : Polytopes; Cosmological polytopes; Gröbner bases; Graphs; Polytop; Kosmologiska polytop; Gröbner baser; Grafer;

    Abstract : A cosmological polytope of an undirected connected graph is a lattice polytope which when the graph is interpreted as a feynman diagram can be used to calculate the contribution of that feynman diagram to the wavefunction of some cosmological models. This contribution can be calculated using the canonical form of the cosmological polytope, which can be computed by taking the sum of the canonical forms of the facets of a subdivision of the cosmological polytope. 2. 2. Constructing Numerical Methods For Solving The Guiding Equation In Bohmian Mechanics

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Materialteori

    Author : Nilsson Robert; [2021]
    Keywords : Bohmian mechanics; De Broglie Bohm Theory; Numerical Methods;

    Abstract : The aim of this thesis was to simulate a part of a proposed experiment by Lev Vaidman by using Bohmian mechanics. To do this a numerical method for solving the Schrödinger equation and theguiding equation was created, with several ways of making the simulation more efficient. READ MORE

  3. 3. Molecular symmetry: symmetrization of molecules and molecular orbitals

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Kemiska institutionen

    Author : Marcus Johansson; [2015]
    Keywords : Quantum Chemistry; Symmetry; Symmetrization; Molecular Orbitals; Wavefunction; Point Group; Algorithm; Projection; Molecular Modelling; Code; Chemistry;

    Abstract : A new code for automatic detection of point groups and for symmetrization of molecular geometry and wavefunctions is presented. Performance and accuracy improvements to a previously designed algorithm for point group determination and an algorithm for symmetrization of said point groups, using linear transformations onto predefined coordinates is described. 4. 4. Wavefunction and spectral properties of single-particle emitters

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Author : Elina Locane; [2013]
    Keywords : Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : The past six years have seen the development of fast and accurate single-particle sources, with possible applications in metrology, nanoelectronics, quantum information processing, and single-electron quantum optics. These mesoscopic devices also enable us to gain more insight into the quantum mechanics of interacting fermions. READ MORE

  5. 5. Dynamical Functional Particle Method applied to the Schrödinger Equation : Exact solutions of three-body exotic ions

    University essay from Institutionen för naturvetenskap, teknik och matematik

    Author : Kristoffer Karlsson; [2012]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : The aim of this master thesis has been to solve the fully correlated non-relativistic Schrödinger Equation for three-particle systems by using the Dynamical Functional Particle Method (DFPM) and control the solutions by comparing with the results from the literature. The three-particle systems that has been analyzed is helium, a muon-based ion and the negative ion of positronium. READ MORE
