  1. 1. State-Of-The-Art on [email protected] System Architectures

    University essay from Mälardalens högskola/Akademin för innovation, design och teknik

    Author : Benjamin Heravi; [2019]
    Keywords : EHealth; Wireless; eHealth security; cloud services;

    Abstract : With growing life expectancy and decreasing of fertility rates, demands of additional healthcare services is increasing day by day. This results in a rising need for additional healthcare services which leads to more medical care costs. Modern technology can play an important role to reduce the healthcare costs. READ MORE

  2. 2. Wireless electrocardiogram based on ultra-wideband communications

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Signaler och System

    Author : Maria Toll; [2019]
    Keywords : UWB; ECG; EKG; ultra-wideband; electrocardiogram; ultra wideband; radio communication; Decawave; DW1000; IoT; internet of things; Android; IEEE 802.15.4-2011;

    Abstract : The goal for this master thesis is to develop a prototype that uses ultra-wideband (UWB) communications to wirelessly transfer electrocardiogram (ECG) data from an ECG measurement unit to an Android device (smartphone or similar) which is used to process and display the ECG signals. The prototype should consist of two hardware nodes; (1) Node one having a ECG measurement unit (an AD8232 single lead heart rate monitor), an UWB communication module (a Decawave DWM1000 module) and a microcontroller (an Arduino DUE); and (2) Node two having an Android device (an Android smartphone), an UWB communication module (a Decawave DWM1000 module) and a microcontroller (an Arduino DUE). 3. 3. Admission Control In A Heterogeneous Software-Defined Network

    University essay from Mälardalens högskola/Akademin för innovation, design och teknik; Mälardalens högskola/Akademin för innovation, design och teknik

    Author : Subaharan Kailayanathan; Jimmy Norling; [2019]
    Keywords : Software Defined Networking; Quality of Service; Admission Control; Wireless Communication; Wireless Software Defined Network;

    Abstract : Software Defined Networking (SDN) provides centralized control by separating the control plane from the data plane on network devices. Subareas of networking such as Quality of Service (QoS) can greatly benefit from this separation as QoS policies can be provided globally for the network. READ MORE

  4. 4. Objective Perceptual Quality Assessment of JPEG2000 Image Coding Format Over Wireless Channel

    University essay from Blekinge Tekniska Högskola/Institutionen för tillämpad signalbehandling

    Author : Bala Venkata Sai Sundeep Chintala; [2019]
    Keywords : Discrete Wavelet Transform DWT ; Image Coding Format; JPEG2000; Objective Perceptual Quality assessment; Quality of Experience QoE ;

    Abstract : A dominant source of Internet traffic, today, is constituted of compressed images. In modern multimedia communications, image compression plays an important role. Some of the image compression standards set by the Joint Photographic Expert Group (JPEG) include JPEG and JPEG2000. READ MORE

  5. 5. Predicting Loss of Communication Between Radio Enabled Devices Using Deep Recurrent Neural Networks

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik

    Author : Oscar Rydh; Joel Klint; [2019]
    Keywords : Recurrent Neural Networks; Long Short-Term Memory; Predictive Maintenance; Imbalanced Data; Pre-processing; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : This thesis investigates the effectiveness of applying recurrent neural networks (RNN) to detect communication errors between radio devices, also known as supervision violations, on imbalanced data. The task is to classify whether a supervision violation is to occur within seven days. READ MORE
