  1. 1. Moderling Acoustic Transmission in Towed Array Sonars : Computations of the coupled acoustic and elastic wave equations

    University essay from KTH/Matematik (Avd.)

    Author : Bill Claesson; [2023]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : This thesis presents a method of solving the Helmholtz equation coupled with the Navier-Cauchy equation over a cross section of a Towed Array Sonar (TAS) modeled as a simplified cylindrical shell. The purpose of solving these equations is to estimate the transfer function of the pressure between the outside boundary and a position inside the TAS. READ MORE

  2. 2. Deep Breath - An auto-reflexive account of a collective journey into the healing practices of shared, embodied, breathing meditation

    Abstract : When we first encounter past traumatic experiences in ourselves, we are left with a conundrum; how are we to move forward in our everyday lives and thrive, rather than just cope and survive? By participating in the Belly2Belly ritual, providing analytical reflections and a detailed account from an auto-reflexive perspective, I attempt in this thesis to show, through the Belly2Belly ritual, how participants progress from a state of ill-being into a state of well-being, a form of evolution of well-being. This, it can be argued, takes form when the ritual participants are provided with the opportunity to engage with their unconscious habitus and autonomous physiological reactions through embodiment of intimacy. 3. 3. Estimation of respiratory frequency from Heart Rate Variability

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Matematisk statistik

    Author : Daniel Ågärd; [2023]
    Keywords : time-frequency analysis; multitaper spectrogram; Optimization; signal processing; heart rate variability; Mathematics and Statistics;

    Abstract : In this master's thesis the ability to estimate the respiratory frequency from heart rate variability measurement is analyzed. The goal was to implement a solution that is easily transferable to real time. READ MORE

  4. 4. Correlation between Surface and Tumour Motion in Lung Cancer - including Deep Learning Perspectives

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Sjukhusfysikerutbildningen

    Keywords : Medicine and Health Sciences;

    Abstract : Purpose: The purpose of this master thesis was to retrospectively investigate correlation between surface and tumour motion in lung cancer patients, alongside deep learning applications of the results. Additional correlations such as age, tumour volume and anatomical placement of the tumour were also investigated. READ MORE

  5. 5. Investigation of a Novel Atmosphere-Breathing Electric Propulsion Platform and Intake

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Abstract : Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO) provides many benefits for space missions, including better image resolution for Earth observation, better telecommunication link with ground stations, lower launch cost, lower risk of collisions, and fast end-of-life disposal. The last point in benefit is also the main challenge for placing satellites in VLEO. READ MORE
