  1. 1. The cosmological polytope of the complete bipartite graph K_{2,n}

    University essay from KTH/Matematik (Avd.)

    Author : Erik Landin; [2023]
    Keywords : Polytopes; Cosmological polytopes; Gröbner bases; Graphs; Polytop; Kosmologiska polytop; Gröbner baser; Grafer;

    Abstract : A cosmological polytope of an undirected connected graph is a lattice polytope which when the graph is interpreted as a feynman diagram can be used to calculate the contribution of that feynman diagram to the wavefunction of some cosmological models. This contribution can be calculated using the canonical form of the cosmological polytope, which can be computed by taking the sum of the canonical forms of the facets of a subdivision of the cosmological polytope. 2. 2. Between Normal and Abnormal Personality – Examining the Joint Structure of the IPIP-NEO-120 and the PID-5

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Institutionen för psykologi

    Author : Charlotte Schöllkopf; [2023]
    Keywords : PID-5; Five Factor Model; Big One; Structural Equation Modelling; General Factor of Personality; Social Sciences;

    Abstract : Objective: The overlap of normal and abnormal personality and personality disorders was found on facet and domain level, but only a few studies assessed the higher order joint structure. In this study, the Personality Inventory for the DSM-5 (PID-5-100 item form) and the IPIP-NEO-120 are assessed in their internal consistency, convergent and discriminant validity and their joint structure, modelled as the overlap of the General Factor of Personality (GFP) and p-factor. 3. 3. Exploring development team dialogues through Game-Based Sprint Retrospectives

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för speldesign

    Author : Noah Östman; Sabina Hallmén; [2023]
    Keywords : Game-Based Retrospective; Game Production; Project Management; Scrum; Sprint Retrospectives; Team Dialogue;

    Abstract : Game-Based Sprint Retrospectives are a well-used tool in Agile practices as a way to structure Sprint Retrospective meetings. However, this tool has very little scientific proof to back up why Scrum Masters should opt to conduct their retrospectives in game form. READ MORE

  4. 4. 3′-end fluorescence labelling of long RNAs using terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Kemiska institutionen

    Author : Johannes Lidberg; [2022]
    Keywords : Physical biochemistry; Fluorescence; In vitro transcription; RNA; Terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase; Nucleobase analogue; Chemistry;

    Abstract : Through recent years, RNA has rapidly gone from mainly being known as a passive information-carrying molecule within the central dogma of molecular biology to becoming the active ingredient in multiple therapeutics, such as in vaccines and potential drugs against cancer. However, one of the main challenges with RNA as a therapeutic is efficient delivery to cells. READ MORE

  5. 5. Mapping the relationship between integrin activation, focal adhesion organization and mechanotransduction in fibroblasts

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Biomedicinsk teknik

    Author : Valeriia Grudtsyna; [2021]
    Keywords : Mechanotransduction; Focal adhesions; Yes-associated protein 1 YAP ; Integrins; Fibronectin; Polarization microscopy; TIRF microscopy; Fluorescence anisotropy; YAP activation; Image analysis; Cell biology; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : Cells can sense and respond to mechanical forces through a process called mechanotransduction. It is controlled by the mechanical cues, originated from the cell's microenvironment, and occurs via a complex, step-wise process. READ MORE
